I sit at the counter as there aren't any people buying tickets at the moment. The cinema is never that busy on weekdays. Sometimes I'm allowed to watch films on my break if there is hardly anyone there.
A guy walks into the cinema and has a look at the screen above the counter to see what films are on. He gets out his phone that starts ringing and answers it. He's too far away for me to hear what he is saying. He then walks out the door of the cinema.
After waiting 5 minutes with no other customers the guy walks back in the door this time with a little girl who looks about 4 or 5 years old trailing behind him. He picks the girl up and walks towards the counter.
"Hi, could I have one child ticket and a teen ticket to see the tinker bell film please." He says to me.
"I just have to ask you. How old are you?" I reply as he looked older than 18.
"I'm 17" he replies.
"And who's this. Is she your niece or something?" I ask about the little girl curiously.
"This is my sister," he replies.
He pays for the tickets and starts to pick up just bag again.
"Enjoy the film," I say as I hand him his tickets.

"I need a pee," Tessa says to me.
"Ok come into the men's toilets with me then," I say to her as that is the only option
"I don't want to go into the men's toilets." She says looking as though she is about to throw a tantrum.
"I don't know what else to do though Tess". I say to her.
"You could ask the girl who gave us our tickets." She says.
"I can't do that Tess"
"Why not?" She says before screaming and crying.
"Please keep the noise down Tessa. People are staring." I say gently whilst trying to be firm talking about the few people walking out of their film.
"No." She replies.
"Is everything all right?" The girl from the counter says as she walks towards us.
"Yes, everything is fine". I say as Tessa starts screaming and crying again.
"Tess, I can take you to the toilet but I'm not allowed in the women's toilet so you have to come into the men's toilets," I say.
" I can take her to the toilet if she doesn't want to go to the men's toilets," the girl from the counter says.
"I can't ask you to do that. Aren't you supposed to be working?" I say to her
"I'm on a break. Plus, you don't want your sister to wet herself. I don't mind taking her to the toilet." She says.
"Fine. Thank you" I say to her.
Tessa walks over to the girl and they go into the women's loo.

"So that guy is your brother?" I ask the girl, Tessa I think her name is.
"Yes, he likes to take me places when he's off school," she says with a large grin.
"That's nice of him, he seems very sweet," I say to her as I lift her up to wash her hands.
"He is very sweet. Do you think the film has started without me?" she asks.
"It might have but as you are the only ones who are seeing it I can ask if they can stop it for you?" I say to her as it's obvious she doesn't want to miss the film.
"Really? Are you magic?" she asks me.
"Kind of magic." I reply to her before taking my walky-talky out, "Matt would you be able to stop the Tinkerbell film in screen 2 for a minute or 2. I have a princess who doesn't want to miss the film."
I wait a minute before Matt talks back. "sure, wouldn't want a princess to miss a great film." I chuckle at Matt's reply.
when I look back at Tessa she has a look of pure delight on her face.
"Right, let's get you back to your brother shall we?" I say helping her open the door.

After about 10 minutes Tessa finally runs out the toilets with the girl walking behind her. I thank the girl and walk intothe screen with Tessa. As the film starts I can't stop myself from thinking about the girl at the counter. I swear I've seen her before. Maybe she went to my school. When I first saw her, I thought she looked gorgeous. Her reddish-brown hair was loosely curled and hung around her face. She was wearing minimal makeup with the only obvious bit of makeup being the red lipstick which stood out. She was wearing purple rounded glasses which framed her face. She was wearing a uniform for the cinema but I never got to look at her name on the badge she was wearing. Well, I guess that was my own mistake.
