*Quick Recap of what has happened so far.

So Merly got all of her powers with the Terrigen crystals T'Challa had. With the help of Loki, she fought against the galaxy's most dangerous assassins who also happened to kill her parents.( Supergiant and Black Swan)

Shuri got the mind stone out of Vision and Wanda destroyed it, but Thanos eventually figured out it was Vision who had it so he used the time stone to get the mind stone out of him. The Avengers failed to stop Thanos.

Merly was taken by death and was told that her parents made a deal with Eternity and made her basically a tracker for the infinity stones (she had to find them first) Then Odin summoned her to Valhalla, causing her body to disappear on earth. (By now she had been gone for two weeks) She was given a key to her grandmother's secret vault on earth and Odin told her that the fight wasn't over yet.

While Merly was "dead" Pepper, Cassie and Harley called her since Tony and Scott made her their emergency contact if they failed to answer. Tony also gave her, Rhodey and Steve access to the Iron legion to help in case of world disasters.

Carol Danvers arrived to earth but just as she's introducing herself and explaining why Fury called her someone arrives at the Avengers compound in New York....

"We have incoming." Carol alerted the remaining Avengers in the facility. Her monitor started beeping and signaling that there was something headed towards them at high speeds. It was unfamiliar enough to put her on edge.

They saw the lights in the distant sky and before anyone could stop her, Carol was out the door and flying head on towards what she believed could've been a threat. "Danvers stop!" Steve yelled after her but she was long out of earshot.

"That's not gonna end well." Natasha groaned when Carol tackled the mysterious figure to the ground only to be kicked away in return.

"Should we split them up?" Rhodey grimace when Carol's blasts sent the other woman crashing down hard.

"Do you want to do it?" Steve had his face scrunched in an inconvenient manner. "Bruce?" He turned around to look at Bruce leaning on the doorway, biting at his sleeve.

He shook his head. "I don't think Hulk would want to come out against them."

Steve sighed and jogged towards the two fighting women who were getting nowhere. "Raven, Carol, stop!" He ordered but only Merly slowed down. Since Carol didn't slow down fast enough, Merly tied her up using the bands of Cyttorak.

Steve talked out of her rage before she burned through them. "She's with us."

Carol finally calmed down and Merly powered down. "Sorry." She apologized. "I've never seen someone like you before."

"Well there isn't anyone else like me." Merly spoke with a harsh tone. She wasn't too happy about being attacked for no valid reason. She then turned to look at Steve. "But I see it isn't so hard to find a replacement."

Steve gave her an unimpressed stare. "Fury was the one who called her."

"Where is he?" Merly asked, oblivious to the fact he was among the vanished.

"Gone." Carol responded.

"And how exactly does he know you?" Merly pointed a finger at her.

"I met him a long time ago." Carol wasn't liking how she didn't know who the person behind the mask was. Merly hadn't removed it yet. "When I came back to earth."

"You're not from earth?" Merly asked while looking also at Steve questioningly.

"Yes. I was...it's a long story." Carol shrugged. "Are you from earth?"

"Duh, I've been here for 100 years." Merly answered.

Carol raised a curious eyebrow. "Wait, who are you exactly?"

"I'm Merly or Raven." She replied by taking off her mask. "I get called by many names nowadays." Merly insinuated to the harsh names the remaining media was calling her.

Carol stood there shocked with her jaw hanging slightly. "You're...you're the Raven!" Her voice rised in pitch. "The only female Howling commando!" She reached out and enthusiastically shook her hand for a little too long just as Scott had done when he met Steve for the first time. "So that means..." she then looked over at Steve, she hadn't really recognized him with a beard and long hair, "you're Captain America!"

Steve gave her a small smile. "Yup."

"How-"

"We crashed into the artic ice and were frozen for 70 years." Merly explained to her before beginning to walk back to the compound and greeting the others.

"Where the hell have you been?" Natasha walked alongside her.

"I had disturbingly encouraging talks with Death and Odin." Merly walked over to the bar and began pouring herself a drink. "I was technically not- Cassie ?!" Merly spat out her drink when she noticed a little girl sitting on the the living room couch.

Natasha shot her a look that said Scott hadn't made it. "She called for you." She whispered.

Cassie had visible tear stains on her cheeks as she slept on the couch. Merly crouched next to her and gently pushed her hair away from her face. "Cassie, let me take you to bed upstairs. You can stay in any room you want."

Cassie yawned and rubbed her eyes. She was visibly disoriented for a moment before remembering that her family had turned to dust right in front of her eyes.

"Or you can stay on the couch." Merly shrugged jokingly. "Although I might warn you that it's not very comfortable. Trust me, I've never had a good nap on it."

Cassie chuckled but began to tear up again and Merly wiped her tears away. "It's gonna be alright. We're here with you and we're gonna figure this out together okay."

Cassie nodded and tried to put on her bravest face. "I can try my best."

"And that's good enough for me." Merly held her hand out and guided Cassie upstairs to the most lively bedroom in the compound.

Her throat tightened up as they entered Wanda's room but she helped Cassie tuck herself in. "We'll be alright. I promise." Merly said before leaving the room and heading back downstairs.

"What were you saying about Odin and Death?" Natasha asked and Merly told them everything that had happened but withheld some information due to her wariness of Carol.

"Never seen or heard of that before." Carol responded to her story. Merly nodded and shrugged. "You'd be surprised of the shit inconvenience I have to go through."

"Does James know you're here?" Bruce asked.

"He was the first to know." Merly took a long sip from her glass. "Where's Thor anyways?"

"He's hunting down Outriders as a way to cope." Bruce sighed and looked down.

"Any news on Tony?" She asked and everyone shook their heads. "How long has it been?"

Steve looked down sadly. "Almost 20 days."

"Rocket is still trying to ping the Benatar's location but we've gotten nothing so far." Rhodey informed her.

Merly turned and pointed her glass at Carol. "How well do you know space?"

"I'm constantly traveling." She nodded. "I know it very well."

Merly got up from her chair and grabbed her mask. "Then let's go look for him."
