I live about an hour outside Knoxville Tennessee, I say I live in Nashville most of the time so people out of state don't assume I'm a backwards hill billy. Saying you are from Tennessee you get a few stares. Most assume I live in a hovel up some hill with my two pet gaters and my home is decorated like a Bass Pro shop. If I did live up to the Tennessee stereotype I'd be out in my truck or on my horse or playing my banjo with my 95 other immediate family members. So I guess it shocks people when I say I've never ridden a horse before , I can't play any instruments and I live in a ordinary house on an ordinary street with my little sister, parents and my dog, Bubbles .

My parents are both doctors. My family is from the south and we are proud but we don't fit "that" stereotype. The only person who really is a true Tennessean is my Nana. I can deny my southern roots as much as I like but my Nana has never even been out of state before and doesn't plan to , she has everything she needs right in the Gatlinburg mountains . I guess that's were I'll start my story .
