The luxurious and spacious mansion was standing tall in the middle of the wide forest. The sky above was particularly clear. The fresh air entered from outside through the open glass door of the balcony and it could be felt inside the room. Curtains of windows are swaying with the rhythm of the wind.

There was a girl standing in the balcony. She was wearing a white dress and her feet was barefooted. Her skin was pale and so her lips. Her hair was scattered in her back and some of it was swaying because of the wind.

She's staring blankly at nowhere. Looking as if, she was a perfect statue. Standing still and not moving even an inch. Like a sculpted being that doesn't belong to this world.

There was a creak sound that came from the door. She clearly heard the door opened but the girl in the balcony was still not bothered.

"Y-young L-lady," the maid stuttered and her face was even paler than the girl in the balcony. She's trying her best not to look afraid but her eyes betrayed her. She's obviously terrified.

The young lady's attention drifted back inside her room when the maid called her. She looked away from the tall trees outside, glancing at the maid who called her. She walked to her bed and sat in the corner. Her feet dragged something heavy that made a not so pleasing sound.

She stared at the maid who stood still near the door. Seemingly afraid to take a single step forward.

"Are you afraid of me?" The young lady asked. Her tone was calm and no emotion can be detected.

The young lady stared at the maid's face and her eyes swept across the maid's trembling hands. She saw how the maid immediately hide her trembling hands.

The maid lowered her head, not daring to look at the eyes of the young lady in the room.

"N-no Young Lady." The maid couldn't help but to stuttered again. Her voice was even more shaky than before.

The young lady just smiled. It's not really clear of whether she's smiling at the maid or because of something else. Her eyes had no signs of emotions.

"Come here."

The maid was frozen in her place when she heard what the young lady said. She certainly heard what the young lady's word was but she wanted to tell herself that she heard wrongly. She don't want to go near her.

Because of the maid's obvious hesitation, the young lady could tell easily what her thoughts was just from her expression.

'She's indeed afraid of me. No doubt.'

Sino nga bang hindi matatakot sa kaniya. Everyone living in the mansion is always afraid of her. The reason was not because she came from a powerful family and she can be considered as a master of the maids and servants, but the real reason was because they are afraid of death. As for her, being in a close contact with her means only one thing. Death.

They think she's a monster. Living amongst humans. A walking death flag. A monster that needs a restrain.

Her family can't even kill her. No one knows why. Even her. Maybe because she's hard to kill or maybe… just maybe, they still considered her as a part of the family.

However, just thinking of it sounds nonsense.

Because everyone treated her as a monster. A dangerous being. Everyone including her family.

They treated  her differently. Like she's nothing but a monster. That she's no human. That she's not apart of the family.

Honestly, she felt nothing when she thought about it. Not even a heartache or something that can make her feel alive.
