Throughtout the night, I tossed and turned, I didnt sleep a wink. All I could hear was my brothers little moans, and my mothers constant footsteps up and down the wooden creaked stairs. Rory my younger vulnerable brother, was ill, again,

It started in the summer, at first we thought it was a bug going around, until he started violentley vomiting blood, his temperature would get to high he'd collapse, but now it was getting worse. The doctor gave him various drugs, injections, and a blood test gave the result of leukemia. The night we found out he had this fatal cancerous diesease, we cried and cried, We hugged him close, and reassured things would be fine, but we knew it wouldnt. My poor brothers life was slowing dieing out. In and out of hospital, Rory would always stay strong, even if he was in pain, he always tried to be happy.

The next morning I woke to an empty, cold house, and found a letter which lay on the kitchen work top, which was full of dirty plates and cups, which were left abandened from at least a week ago. The Letter read:

To Eliza Rory is not coping well, so i have taken him to the hospital, see you tonight (maybe) If I am not home, there is a chinese leaflet on the dining room table, take money from the pot. Have a great day at school love.

Love Mummy x

P.S- Take Money To School For Lunch! Mwah.

My stomach churned, and a tear rolled down my tear stained cheek, at the thought of rory in hospital, with tubes in and out of him, he was only five years old, he didnt deserve this. I took a deep breath and screwed up the dreaded letter, and chucked it in the recycling bin which was overloaded.

I left the house with no money, mum didnt realise the pot was empty, It didnt matter though the bullies would have stole it of me that morning anyway.
