Description: a scene from Chicago P.D. 6x02 but with Erin and Al

                ERINS POV

I was in the car with Hank and Al because Jay couldn't be my partner on this case because he was too close to the victim. We see the suspect and move out but, we were too slow he saw us and ducked into a parking garage. We run towards the parking garage and hear gunshots ring out and then all of a sudden our radios come to life, no one should be in there with him.
"Fifty Twenty-One George, shots fired by both police and offender, roll an ambo to the parking garage on state street." That's Jay, he shouldn't be here. I hear someone come up behind me and a hand rests on my shoulders, it's Hank, I know it is. I turn around and hug him, "What if he's dead Hank, I couldn't live without him."
"He's strong Erin, he will be alive when we get down there but we need to move now," Hank tells me.
"You can't just think that, because if it's not true you're just in more pain."
"Well then Erin, let's go so we don't find him dead." We get our guns up and run into the garage. I see two bodies on the ground and immediately start running faster. When I get to them I land on my knees and rip Jay's shirt off and find a vest, but there's a hole in the vest on his chest, I reach my hand under his vest. "It didn't go through, you're okay, you're okay," I say as I find a hole on his side and I pull his shirt all the way off and I use it to put pressure on the wound.
I hear yelling in the distance, "Al! Did you tell him he could do this?!"
"Hank, why would I tell him to do this! I do what you do and what you tell me to do!" I stop listening and look at him, he looks scared but as soon as he notices me looking at him he brushes it off.
"I thought you were dead Jay, don't ever do that again," I said through tears that finally fell. He reached his hand up and wiped my tears away, "Er, I'm okay, I'm not leaving you, ever." After he says that I hear sirens and I feel someone pulling me away from him.
After Jay gets checked out Hank goes up to him and I follow. When Hank gets up to him he starts to get angry, "Halstead, I told you not to be apart of this and you go behind my back and do it anyway!"
"Voight, I'm fine, it's-"
"No, you're done talking. This is my unit, I make the rules and I call the shots. I told you to stay away from this because he was your father. I didn't want this to happened because I knew this probably would've happened. I care for you it's my job but I can't do my job if you don't do yours, got that?" Jay just nods his head and Hank walks off.
"Jay, please never do that again," I say, grabbing his hand, "you scared me so bad when that came up on the radio."
"Erin, I'm fine. I told you that I'm fine and the paramedics said that I was fine, I said I was never leaving you and that's a promise. You need to stop thinking so negatively when something happens."
"You have to think of all the possibilities and focus on the bad sometimes so you don't get your hopes up." Jay just puts his hand on my cheek and I rest my head on it and smile. I feel a hand touch my shoulder and I look to who it is, it's Al.
"Hey kiddo how holding up?"
"I'm perfectly fine but Erin is a bit shaken up."
"Yeah, I'm okay as well, thanks Al. I heard you with Voight, why does he think you allowed him to do this?"
"I don't know kid, he was just stressed because someone didn't follow orders. I just follow his lead because who wants to get on Hank Voight's bad side" He chuckled a bit. A paramedic came over and said that we needed to get Jay to the hospital so he could get stitched up since the bullet was a through and through. I get into the ambulance with Jay like Al told me to and immediately grab his hand.
