Two Candles

Everyone around the couple seemed to be moving too fast. All of their friends and family were starting to have families of their own, making the couple fall behind. The married couple were attempting to have kids for years but their attempts were always unsuccessful. Seeing how desperate they were, the doctor recommended a certain proceeder that would hopefully give them the baby the couple always wanted. The couple quickly agreed to the proceeder and soon the wife fell pregnant with not one, but two babies.
About two to three months into the pregnancy an accident happened which caused a disturbance with the babies. Concerned with their babies safety, they quickly rushed to the hospital, with the commotion they were making, with the wife crying and the husband panicking they quickly got seen by their doctor. The wife immediately got hooked up to an ultrasound machine and the doctor checked how the babies were doing. Unfortunately, the baby didn't make it. The husband and wife started to cry, seeing how she probably won't have any children in their life. But to their surprise, they suddenly heard a heartbeat coming from the other baby. They had one baby left, and they were going to cherish that baby through their lives.

Soon, that twin was born and grew into a beautiful young woman. She heard of this unfortunate event that happened to her twin brother and decided, to honor him by, on her birthday, she just wanted two candles on her cake. One candle being pink to represent her, and a blue candle to represent her brother.
She got asked by people why she cared so much about it, she answered with "At the end of the day, he's still my brother, and I love him very much."
