Shadows are tall goat/bat like humans (they don't all look like this) that roam around playing tricks on unsuspecting people. All they want to do is cause you misery and will do anything to do so, they might even cause pain to themselves to cause you a small bit of pain.
There are many different types of shadows such as Mimics, Perfections also known as the Crystal shadows, Rases or Red shadows, and many more. There are many types of shadows that are not discovered yet.
