Imagine you walk into the studio you've been here a thousand times before with the boys but this time is different because it's just you and Michael. The boys had gone out to get lunch but you and Michael weren't hungry so you just stayed behind. Some girls would be nervous to be left alone with THE Michael Clifford but it wasn't like that with you and Michael. You two had known each other since you were 3 years old because Michael was your next door neighbor and your moms were friends. You two quickly became friends at 5 when he helped you up after you fell on the playground and it's been that way ever since. I have to admit though that this thought has been crossing my mind recently that maybe I don't just like Michael as a friend but that's just silly. I mean come on even if I did like him as more than a friend it's not like he would ever feel the same so I should just drop it. I slowly look up realizing I've been thinking to myself for a while now and as I do my eyes meet his... I always thought Michael had beautiful eyes. Wait what are you thinking y/n WAIT no is Michael staring at me he can't be??? "Um, Michael watcha looking at" "uh nothing just kinda distracted I guess" he replies dismissively and goes back to the song he was working on. I've always admired how passionate and dedicated Michael was to his music he really did love his job it meant everything to him. As he kept writing in his notebook he started to sing and the words heartbreak girl fell out of his mouth. I began to get more interested as he continued singing "I'm right here when you gonna realize that I'm your cure Heartbreak girl" I wonder who he was talking about? I sat there for a few seconds thinking it over Michael never mentioned anyone before and we tell each other everything so I was a little confused. I sat there for a few more seconds before I finally spoke up "so Michael who's the song about" "no one in particular" he replies quickly like he's trying to move on from the topic "are you sure" I ask with a smirk "I said it's no one" he replies almost like he's annoyed. He goes back to writing his song for a while but finally speaks up "I'm sorry I snapped at you like that earlier y/n" "it's ok Michael" "no it's not and I'm sorry" "I guess I'm just a little... I don't know stressed" "it's ok Michael you know you can always talk to me" I replied. I went back to playing on my phone I was playing bitlife that game is so addicting it's kinda like an escape from real life. When I finally look up Michael is looking at me again now I'm starting to think it's not accidental but maybe it is I'm probably just overthinking it. He's the one to speak up this time "you know I kinda lied earlier" "about?" "you know when you asked who the song was about and I said no one?" "yeah, what about it?" "well, I lied" "so who is it about then?" "You" he says then looks down shyly I just sit there, shock and frozen not knowing what to say. "Hey, Michael?" I finally say after regaining myself "yeah" he says looking up quickly "I have something I need to tell you" I say nervously as I bite my lip "ok?" "I had been pushing it back trying to tell myself it wasn't true but I really like you Michael" "more than a friend, and I have for a while" "you don't have to say you feel the same because I know probably don't but I just needed you to know" I confess. He sits there for a while just looking stunned, but he finally speaks "I like you too y/n" "more than a friend" he chuckles suddenly seeming less nervous. I began to smile as he said those words he likes me too I can't believe Michael Clifford likes me back. He spoke up again "you know y/n when I said it was you I meant it" "it's you y/n it always has been" "I remember the first time we really met at the park when we were 5" he laughs reminiscing about the past "when I helped you up because you fell" he pauses for a moment "I knew then even at 5 years old that you were the most beautiful girl I would ever see" "I love you y/n" he says with a smile "Michael I love you too" I say. I run up to him giving him one of the biggest hugs I've ever given in my life as I feel his arms wrap around me, and as much as I'd like to stay like this forever I pull back needing air. I giggle but began to stare into his eyes, man are those eyes captivating as ever but I'm instantly snapped out of my trance as I see him begin to lean and I do the same but just as our lips were about to connect I hear a door slam and quickly jump back from Michael. I slowly turn around seeing Luke, Ashton and Calum the boys must have just got back from their lunch Calum speaks up "what were you guys doing?" he says with a smirk "yeah mate what were you doing?" Luke asks not really catching on "well for your information I was about to score myself an awesome girlfriend" Michael says as he looks at me. I blush and look back at him and say "I think you already did" and lean over to place a kiss on his cheek. Michael starts laughing when Ashton chimes in "what did we miss?" He asks with confused laughter "a lot" Michael says "now leave you idiots so I can kiss my girlfriend in peace" he says and everyone starts laughing before Luke speaks up "ok ok we're leaving now" and the door shuts.
