Chap. 1: Congratulations..

Juvia's POV

I skipped along the streets of Magnolia.

I had just gotten back from my year-long journey and, whew, it was alot!

Especially since I didn't see Gray-sama..

Yes, we wrote eachother letters, but I haven't heard his voice or seen his face in a year!

I hadn't changed at all, but I was sure he had..

Maybe now he would finally be in love with me!

I opened the doors to the Guild."Hello everyone!" I exclaimed.

They seemed to be celebrating something, and when I walked in, they all looked at me oddly. First, their faces were surprised! And then, the looked sympathetic, as if to say Poor Juvia..!

I smiled nervously."What are you all celebrating?"

No answer. You could practically hear crickets.

Thats when I saw the banner hanging over the bar. Congratulations! It read.

I looked at my comrades."Did.. something happen? Oh! Is there a wedding?"

Maybe its for me and Gray-sama! I thought.

I saw Mira looking at me, shaking her head sadly.

"Who.. is it for?" I asked all of them.

I walked forward a bit, now able to make out the smaller lettering on the banner.

Thats when my heart shattered.

Congratulations! Gray and Lucy!

The design of the banner clearly stated it was for their wedding.

I looked over and saw Gray-sama with Lucy hanging on his arm. He looked like he hadn't slept in.. well, a year.

She looked happy, if not nervous.

Natsu looked angry, and Lisanna was trying to talk to him.

Again, the whole Guild was silent.

I plastered on a fake smile."Looks like Ive missed alot in the passed year, huh?" My voice cracked at the end.

Erza was looking at Gray disappointedly. I gave her a weak smile, trying to tell her I was fine, but she knew better.

"W-welcome back, Juvia." Said Gray-sama.

He sounded like he was going to cry.

"Thank you." I said."Um, now, Juvia must get home and unpack! Continue with your party!"

I walked out, closing the Guild doors.

I saw rain clouds start to cover the sky.

I ran as fast as I could to Fairy Hills.

When I entered my room, I looked at my bed for a second.

And an image of Lucy and Gray cuddling happily at night crossed my mind.

I broke down on the bed and sobbed.

I couldn't help it.. I missed so much and now..

Ive lost the love of my life.
