It was a dark and stormy night.Lighting struck violently on the grounds of an isolated village in the middle of nowhere.Sure, this might sound like your classic cliche horror story, but continue reading and you might change your mind after reading this gruesome tale.
In the year 1975 lived young naive Emily Roberts. She was the sweetest girl in all of the secluded village. She absolutely adored exploring the outside world. She especially enjoyed walking through the centuries old forest at the very end of the village. It was like her own little world all to herself.
Emily's point of view:
I decided to go to my favorite spot in the entire village, the forest! "Just being surrounded by all the trees, birds singing, hearing the river flow oh so peacefully. Most importantly no one can see me--" I was suddenly interrupted by Andrew -My next door neighbor- saying hi to me. I waved back obviously, smiling faintly at him
Andrew:"Ah,Emily! I've been looking for you!", he said putting his hand to the back of his neck a bit embarrassed of his enthusiasm.
Emily:"oh? Why's that Andy?", I snicker because I knew he hated that nickname.
Andrew:"Well because--", he stopped mid sentence forming a pout on his lips. He sighs then slowly smirks,"Well Emmy~", he chuckles whilst teasingly hugging me. "Am I not allowed to miss such a pretty face? Ha ha just messing with you beautiful, just wanted to see you off until you entered the deep scary forest", he stated slowly pinching my cheeks.
Emily:"My poor cheeks!",I said whining dramatically
Andrew:"Ah!",he let go instantly."Sorry about that Emmy", he says apologetically
Emily:"It's fine.So I'll see you later tonight ok?"
Andrew:"I'll be waiting,bye Emmy!"
I started entering into the forest I love dearly. Hummed a catchy tone as I skipped through the forest path.Just the smell of the forest relaxes me.If I could I'd never leave. It truly is a magical place. Out of no where I heard something being dragged on the forest floor up ahead. For some reason... It reminded me of a knife scrapping slowly on the floor, the sound getting closer and closer. I couldn't help but follow the sound. It felt as if I were in a trance.
Detective Vincent William's point of view:
I recently just came to this village. I never thought the police force would actually accept a newbie like myself, but ever since coming to this secluded area of a village I keep getting weird vibes.I was staring Off into space when my associate Nelson Edwards caught me off guard.
Nelson:"You were spacing off again, weren't you Vince?",he sighed looking straight at me.
Vincent:"Well...",I paused looking for an excuse shortly giving up after. "I was just thinking about why the police force would accept a simple newbie like me", I mutter.
Nelson:"Come on give yourself some credit! I mean you did solve a whole lot of cases in the past,no wonder they accepted you so easily.", He chuckles simultaneously giving me a noogie.
Vincent:" Oi!! Don't mess with the hair Nel!", I laughed.
Nelson:"Pfft, too late!",He smirked letting go of me.
Vincent:" Oh I outta--",The chief executive came rushing through the front door of the once peaceful cafe,a worrisome expression engulfed his face.
Chief executive:"Detective... we've got a missing persons case",he gulped.
Vincent:"Ah,who's case is it?",I reply hesitantly.
Chief executive:"Er..",he took a deep breath. "The case of Emily Roberts."
I slightly nodded my head whilst he handed me the files of where she was last seen. I stood up Nelson followed as we entered the deep forest of this eerie village. It was quiet,a bit too quiet for comfort.
Nelson:"Ugh, the chief is already giving us a case! It's our first day too!"
Vincent:"Isn't that a good thing?",I smiled cheerfully at the thought of it being our first missing persons case.
Nelson:" But I don't feel like..." ,He pauses for what seemed like forever. "Vince...there's a trail of red right here..", he says whilst expecting the trail.
Vincent:"Its blood",I gulped.
Nelson:"Maybe it's an animals' trail?"
Vincent:"If that were the case, there'd at least be some paw prints, correct?"
Nelson:"Ah,you're right. But er it could be an animal that got injured?"
Vincent:"Don't tell me you're getting cold feet",I say following the trail of red.
Nelson:"I... I'm calling a squad", he took out his flip phone. "Shoot,no signal", he says a bit jittery.
There was then such an unbearable stench as both Nelson and I kept walking on the forest path.I almost gagged as we stepped closer and closer. Then... I saw it. A girl with beautiful blonde locks. Her stomach slashed open, intestines dropping out of her slit stomach. Her eye sockets empty. Not to mention a smile engraved on her lips as high up to her cheeks. On top of that she was hung on a branch by a noose.
Nelson:"T-that's... the body of the girl in the missing persons case... Emily Roberts."
