Returning 'Home'

Of course my Decepticon half was struggleing to take over and send me the opposite direction of the call. Even when a call from his own side Soundwave wanted to do nothing with the Hunters or the mechs that they were attacking. Decepticons I've learned, know nothing of comadre.

Going at full speed I raced over to the other side of the state to where the signal was coming from in a matter of seconds. I hadn't even stopped when I started to protect the mech.

Summoning my blades I sliced through the humans without any struggled making them nothing but a bloody pile of limbs and guts in a matter of seconds. I could feel the pleasure cooming from my con coding at the sight of my slaughter. It may not approve of my rescue attempts but it did apporve of how brutual and blood thirsty I've come when dealing with my former race.

Pulling to a stop in front of the mech I switched to attack mode with my swords ready and my optics shinning cobalt blue with my swords at the ready.

"I would advise you to turn and flee Hunters. This mech is mine." I stated coldly making some of the more green soldiers turn pale and shiver at my tone. However their was one among them that wasn't fazed by my threat in fact he looked very pleased.

It was my former mentor.

"Project Shadowblade." he greeted with a pleased sound. I hissed and growled as both my codes screamed at me to kill the rat bastard for what he called me. My name was Shadowblade now, sure since I couldn't remember my human name but how he said it and but the word project in front of it repulsed me. "I am so happy to see you again my pupil. When you disappeard after the Lennox mission we feared that the former Captian finnished you off before he died. And we soon found you destroying our labs across the country, such a naughty thing to do little one. After we finish with this one we need to escort you back home so we can finish our mistakes."

I gave a head splitting screech and attacked at him only for my side nearly getting ripped off by none other than Lockdown. I hissed at him and moved to strike again only for the mech I was protecting to grab me with one servo and with what seemed the last of his strength he got up and threw me with all his might.

As I left comm link range I got a message from who I assumed was the mech I had been trying to save but had refused it.

::Good try lass, bu' ah am ready ta offline. Mah team is waitin' fer meh, you on da other han' need ta stay away from dem and help 'ose left. Do that fer me lass, an' don't hate yerself for this. Like ah said, Ahm ready ta go.::

It was then the line went dark and I found myself hitting a rather large pile of snow in North Dakota. And even though he told me not to I couldn't help but hate myself for not only not killing my former mentor and Lockdown, but also failing to save someone who didn't want to be saved and give him a reason to live.

I swore to myself that the next time it would end differently for all parties.

*Flashback ends*

"Youngling? are you alright?" Opi's voice snapped me out of my memory files as I saw all of those here looking at me. Most were filled with a mix of lingering anger along with saddness and remorse. My guess is that my memory file wasn't the only one that recorded the events like I saw them happen. But Drift's look was nearly unreadable to me and I could only wonder on what he was thinking.

I shaked my helm and looked down trying not to let my saddness or anger show through. After all assains cannot show emotion.

"I'm fine" was my soft but firm reply. Before anyone could say anything else  I leaped down from my perch landing perfectly on the desert floor. "I'm going to do a late hour patrol to make sure no one sees the fire. comm me if you need me for something."
