Mystery fuels inhibited interest,

Ignorance abound remains temporary.

Unaccounted for, though this feeling knows best.

Because! Disheartenment burdens and carries.

While lovingly of you I ponder,

Also concurrently do you fester.

Of this sentiment will you so squander?

Rather be, an attraction will bestir?

No good help, is it, that of keeping mum?

Only reliance manifests, as I see,

In your eyes; possibly due to them?

Who dares ridicule what shall love thee?

Curse my inaction; I lack audacity,

Perhaps our fate beckons atrocity?

A/N: I originally wrote this for my Honors English class assignment in which we had to write a sonnet in the style of Shakespeare. While I wasn't planning on including this in my poetry compilation, I was so amazed by what I wrote that I couldn't exclude it. If you were as mesmerized as I was by this poem, then please make sure to vote for it and give feedback.
