Quick notes. I'm really bad with wattpad formats. Here's some notes to inform you the progress of this story. (this place will be updated based on what I want to communicate to you readers)

1. (To be continued...) means that I haven't finished the chapter yet, and will be updating it later. I accidentally publish drafts all the time when I haven't finished them.

2. () means there use to be a (To be continued...) and I continued it. This is just to help people pick up where they left off.

3. Dashes enclosing something, aka. -like this-, mean that I will update that part later when I figure it out. Usually, details there shouldn't be too important. Perhaps just a name or a color.

Meet Madison -insert lastname here-, your not-so-average college student. Today was Sunday, and for Madison, that meant work. Wake up (very early), and right off that bat begin to study, to waken the mind and start the day fresh. Then she ate breakfast at 6 am, and rushed off to her work. At the cafe she was had impeccable timing with her arrival and her work; orders were dished out with incredible speed. She worked with the same vigor till the end of her part-time shift, and clocked out after lunch. She returned to her dorm, where she should have studied more, but today there was something different. Melody was home. Melody was her roommate, and the kindest, most accommodating girl that Madison knew.

"Maddy~" Melody cooed, so sweet and nice.

Madison dropped her purse by the door and turned away, slipping off her shoes. She pulled the clip out of her and shook her head, letting her dark brown hair fall down to her shoulders. "Why are you home and not getting wasted at some party?" Madison asked coolly, as she took off her work clothes.

"Silly Maddy," Her roommate giggled, "I don't get drunk until nighttime. I'm home today because my boyfriend's parents are visiting."

"Then why don't you meet his parents? Haven't you two been dating seriously for a year now?" Madison stepped into the living room now, in her undergarments and socks. Normally, Madison would kill someone if they saw the form underneath her clothes (not that it was any secret, or impressive, in Madison's mind), but Melody just had this void of judgement, and this happy acceptance, so Madison felt fine just being comfortable, even if comfortable meant being half naked in the solitude of their room.

"Ohhh, you knowww." Melody shrugged, and just from those starting words Madison knew Melody was making an excuse for something wrong. The other times Melody starts off with 'oh, you know' is when she forgets her homework, is late to class, is ditched by her boyfriend... The rest of the list went on about Melody's boyfriend. Madison didn't need to listen any more and interrupted, "You should break up with him." She said, "He's not the one you deserve."

The girl only laughed, "Shhhhuddap!" She said, "You're just mad cauz you don't have anyone."

Madison scoffed, "Oh whatever, I'll have guys hanging off me once I get a high-paying, stable job." To which Melody erupted with giggles, tossing and turning on the couch. This conversation had been repeated times before. Madison made comments about Melody's partner, Melody teased Madison, and Madison retorted with goals of her future. It never went anywhere, and no one was ever convinced. But recently, when their such conversations ended, Madison would turn away with a feeling of melancholy.

'I wonder, if something bad will happen to Melody...' Madison thought, and then shook her head. No, no. No use letting silly feelings decide her thoughts for her. They were just feelings, after all. Madison decided that she must be tired, and went to brew herself some coffee, when she saw the window blinds open in the room. (There was only one bedroom with a bathroom attached, and they had a coffee maker on the desk near the window.)

"Melody!" Madison shouted, pulling the blinds shut immediately, "If you're going to open the blinds, close them when I come home, or tell me! So I don't undress!"
