Its become a habit for Irene and Y/N to go out on breakfast dates every weekend to their favorite cafe close by. They enjoyed spending time together earlier in the morning since Irene had no schedules that early. This time, Wendy decided to join you since you promised to bring her out one of these times and Irene begrudgingly agreed. You loved this cafe, the people were nice, coffee was good and so was the food. Irene on the other hand didn't like it as much, not for the reasons you liked it, more so because one of the cashiers flirted with you constantly.
It was extremely obnoxious and a mood ruined for Irene. But more than anything it made her angry because no one knew they were dating for the sake of Irene's image, so she had to sit and watch as people flirted with you.
"That woman annoys me." Irene mumbled angrily, crossing her arms as they wait in line to see the obnoxiously flirty cashier.
"She's not that bad, don't get so jealous. I'm dating you not her." You whispered as you held her hand, calming her down as the line whittled down.
She sighed heavily, "That doesn't seem to stop her any less."
"She's probably looking for a bigger tip or something." Wendy commented. You were next in line, and the cashier with the nametag 'Chaeyoung' with a span or designs surrounding it.
"Well, isn't it my favorite customer. What could I get for you beautiful?" Chaeyoung leaned forward a smirk crossing her face.
Irene gripped your hand tighter and turned away from the cashier. "Yeah... 3 coffees, 2 doughnuts and the house special, please." You sped up to keep Irene from getting angrier.
"Comin' right up. That'll be $9.78 and just so you know," she leaned uncomfortably close to you. "I'm always available for you. I can show you a good time." She said staring Irene in the eyes as she slides you her number on the receipt.
"Excuse me?" Irene moved in front of you, her face angry and her fists clenched.
"What? You heard me. She isn't dating anyone anyways," Chaeyoung crossed her arms against her chest the same annoying smirk on her face.
"You know what..." Irene lunged forward when Wendy caught her from hitting the cashier.
"No no no. Irene, I don't need to take you out of jail today." Wendy said as her hold on her tightened.
"If it means this dumbass would stop hitting on my S/O, you're gonna have to." Irene tried to wiggle out of her hold, only to remain stuck.
"Wait," Chaeyoung points to you." You're dating her?"
"Yeah, for 2 years. Its been kinda uncomfortable being here for us both." You shrugged looking at the ground slightly.
"Goddamn it. I thought you were single. This always happens to me." Chaeyoung turns to look at Irene, still being held by Wendy." Look, I didn't mean to hit on your S/O like that. I thought they were single. Sorry."
You looked at her pleadingly and her sighed, "Fine, it okay. Sorry I almost attacked you. But one more thing," Irene pulled Chaeyoung by the shirt collar, " Back off my S/O. Don't flirt with them again."
Chaeyoung moved her collar back her hands raised surrender. "Okay okay. I get it."
"Hmm, good." Irene smiled moving back to hold your hand again.
"Good thing I was here. Irene gets a little fiesty when mad." Wendy smiled and laughed.
The three of you went off to finish your breakfast and head back home. The receipt you got earlier was crumbled and thrown in a trash can by a smiling Irene. Ever since then, trips to the cafe have gotten more bearable for the both off you. Now that you got flirted with less.
