Character: Draco Malfoy × OC
4th Year - Week before Yule Ball

“...co...aco...DRACO!” Blaise yelled at his seemingly deaf friend.

“Huh?” Draco responded to his friend. The truth is that he was too busy staring at something or should it be said, someone. The object of his affection: Amora Goldstein, a Ravenclaw in the same year as him. She was from one of the oldest pureblood families who, much like the Weasleys, didn’t care for blood status. She caught his eye in one of their DADA lessons when she perfectly performed an “expelliarmus” and honestly… why wouldn’t she.

Amora Goldstein was the image of perfection in Draco’s eyes. She had waist length raven hair with shining sapphire blue eyes that seemed to stare into the souls of others. It was rumor that she was the reincarnation of Rowena Ravenclaw which only further proved Draco’s point that she belonged with him, the Ice Prince of Slytherin much like Salazar Slytherin who married Lady Ravenclaw. Now… he just had to prove it to her and what better way to do it than taking her to the Yule Ball?

“I was asking if you were going to take Amora to the Ball?” Blaise asked. “You were staring and it was becoming creepy.”

Draco simply sneered at his friend as Blaise started to laugh, knowing where Draco’s attention truly was. Amora was starting to leave the yard but Draco knew that now was the time to ask. He ran up to Amora and grabbed her arm as she got closer to the castle.

“Me and you? Prince and Princess at the Yule Ball?” Draco asked with a charming smirk on his face, confident that he would receive a ‘yes’ in response.

“No.”

That didn’t sound like a yes.

“Wha… but…” Draco stumbled over his words, unsure of how to react.

“You want me to go with you, Ice Prince? Well, do something princely then maybe… just maybe.” Amora responded with a smirk that only a member of the Goldstein family could pull off, full of malice and knowledge.

As if in a daze, Draco simply walked off to his next class while forming ideas of how to make Amora his.

~End of the Day~

Draco got ready for bed in a daze as he had been all day. He simply got into bed and sat to think. The quiet was concerning for the other two boys that he shared a dorm with.

“Is he ok?” Theodore “Theo” Nott asked his other roommate as he looked at the other boy who had become like a brother to him in the 4 years that they shared a room.

“He got rejected by Amora Goldstein today…” Blaise responded while also silently looking over the other boy before closing his eyes as he went to the realm of sleep with Theo quickly following. But not Draco, no not him. He had gotten it! The way to make Amora his princess, now he just had to set it up before she got to the Great Hall.

‘Finally.’ Draco thought as he drifted into sleep.

Amora woke up to an empty dorm and shining sun the next day. She immediately jumped up to start her morning routine, so that she could begin her day. After Amora’s 30 minute routine, she started to make her way out of the Ravenclaw library/common room and to the Great Hall for breakfast but was stopped in her way by a group of Slytherin boys. Each of the boys was holding a gathering of 5 roses in a certain color.

‘What the hell is happening?’ Amora thought as Blaise Zabini, playboy of Slytherin, stepped up to her to present her with a gathering of sapphire blue roses.

“To complement your sapphire eyes.” Blaise told her with a low bow.

“What is this?” Amora questioned, wondering if this was a ploy to make her one of his conquests.

“More like, whom is doing this… Just follow the trail of roses on the floor to find out.” Blaise said, gesturing to the trail of roses on the floor that went unnoticed by Amora until now.

Amora started to follow the trail, collecting the gatherings of roses from the boys as she passed them with words of ‘thank you’ as they said their rehearsed lines. The trail twisted and turned until she was lead to the Great Hall, standing in the doorway with a bouquet of sapphire, black, green, and golden roses in hand.

‘Time to find out who’s behind this…’ Amora thought as she braved herself and opened the doors to the Great Hall.

The site infront of her stopped her nerves and stopped her heart. The Great Hall was decorated with golden streamers that were weaved with strands of sapphire blue hanging from the walls. The teachers held a large compass that had only one direction on it and Amora turned to look, hoping that she would see the culprit. Instead, there was the ceiling that was decorated to mimic the night sky with a bright gold star that was labelled. It was labelled ‘Amora’s Star’ and she gasped as she was hugged from behind.

Quickly turning, she found her parents who stood side by side with grins on their face. It was now no surprise where Amora had gotten her looks from, with her father’s hair that flowed to his shoulders and her mother’s sapphire eyes. She looked at both of them, one at a time until her father finally spoke up.

“He’s a fine young man who I think you might want to give a chance. He might just surprise you after all.” Her father said, before hugging her and passing her to her mother whose eyes were brimming with tears.

“He really does care Amoralise Diana Goldstein, and I pray to Mother Magic that you give this boy a proper chance.” Her mother spoke through her tears while using her full name, which confused Amora as to why she was crying in the first place.

Amora turned around after getting a tap on the shoulder, and she turned to see a pile feathers transform into words. These words spelled out one simple sentence:

‘Princess Amora, will you go to the Yule Ball with me? ~Forever yours, Draco Malfoy”

She turned around to see Draco with one rose in his hand. The rose was not like the others though as it was made of what looked to be pure crystal with a cloud of Silver and Sapphire Blue smoke inside that curled around one another. She looked up at Draco once more as he held the rose out infront of him with an almost pleading look in his eyes and shaking hands.

“So… Will You?” Draco asked and Amora only had one thing to say to him.

    “Yes.”
