It's been a year since then and, thankfully, it stopped. Then again, it could be because I've been too tired and busy for this to happen.

Oh, and since I haven't had contact with anyone, I'm unsure about the state of the world. All I know is that Cecilia has lost touch with the other continent. All goods have been said to be cut off and no one knows why. Those that have been sent to deliver messages, investigate, and so on, are never heard from again.

Well, this and the fact that a bunch of orcs tried to kill an important figure points to something big happening. I'm unsure what but it can't be good. Well, at least Laendel will be happy... especially if it's a war.

Suddenly, Celenoral's presence in my mind becomes stronger and some of his emotions flood into me.

He seems really relieved but more importantly, he is eager to see Menurya.

So... why were you hiding this from me?

Shut up...

Oh come on, you are an ass whenever I'm around Eridel. I have yet to say anything about Menu-

Before I am able to go further, my back is driven into the rear section of the seat as Celenoral goes into a sharp dive.

Just as I manage to right myself, Celenoral evens out. Truthfully, I think he would have continued the dive if it wasn't for the ground. Even the strange pressure in my ears, I can hear the sound of his claws as they brush the top of passing trees.

So... what were you saying?

Um... thank you for cracking my back and neck?

A few seconds pass before a snarl emerges from Celenoral.

Oh hey, you can see the city from here.

Don't try to change the subject.

A couple minutes pass before we reach the city and it takes a few minutes for us to reach the academy.

Aanndd... he flies past it.

Er... what are you doing?

Flying.

Yes, I know you're flying. Why didn't you land for me to get off?

Don't want to.

... So... you want me to just jump off?

Sure, why not?

Well for one, it's flas- actually. You're right. Why the hell not? You're going to have to gain altitude though.

Why?

If I'm going to show off, you might as well too.

Good point. So what's the plan?

I'm thinking of you flying upside down but if you really want to get crazy, we can do a loop and a few spins followed by you diving as I'm falling. Is that too much?

Too much. Let's just go with flying upside down.

Yeah, okay. You still need to gain altitude though.

Okay. Just give me a few seconds.

With a few strokes, Celenoral reaches an altitude that will give me more than enough time to correct myself during the free fall.

Quickly, I unfasten the leg straps and steel myself for what we are about to do.

Are you ready?

Yes.

Celenoral unleashes a mighty roar that vibrates both of our bodies, before darting forwards at a frightening speed. Just as he passes over the beach, he spins around and flies upside down. Surprisingly, it takes him a few moments to stabilize.
