It was cold and dark as a large man hooded man walked through the mountains of Mormen a snow-covered mountain range in the Land of Aliçar.

The hooded man walked calmly through the snow a large broadsword sitting sheathed upon the hooded strangers back along with a makeshift bag that made him seem to be a traveller, he was much more than that though. Still, as the large man walked his fur boots sank into the soft snow that blanketed the mountain. As the stranger walked through the frigid cold of the mountain, he seemed to know his way, as he moved through the mountain looking for a place to camp for the night. It had to be warm so he'd live through this harsh weather but as he continued all he saw was snow and a tree or two every now and then.

"Ahhh," a voice rang out near to where he was forcing the hooded man to look towards the source of the noise. He moved quickly not stopping for a moment as he knew that this could be someone in danger.

The hooded man moved with swiftness as he ran through the snow which tried to hold back but using brute strength he wouldn't give. Forcing his way he located the spot the voice came from and to his horror, he realized that the voice wasn't a human in danger at all but a bloodthirsty beast with the ability to mimic.

Turning his head the hooded man didn't want to see the hideous beast that was now in front of him for it made his skin crawl just thinking of its deformed flesh, large teeth and claws. It looked like a wolf that was huge and had third-degree burns.

Dropping his hood to not hinder his sight he drew his broadsword and he glared at the devilish beast as it towered over him slightly his brown medium length hair dancing in the icy wind. As he stood there his feet shoulder width apart and sword in both hands he waited as the cold chilled his cheeks and turned them a deep cherry colour.

The creature was the first to attack branding its large teeth and lunging at the man's neck. The man moved swiftly to the left dodging but still getting a graze from the creatures claws as they struck his left shoulder. The man grimaced in pain as he stood once again ready for another attack and it was only seconds before another attack followed. This time the man swung his sword down on the menacing creature but it was to fast and he only managed to graze it.

The graze made the creature angry and it let out a horrifying roar that sounded almost like a menacing laugh that would scare a feeble man. Still, as the man stood there he showed no signs of fear as the beast stood before him with power more terrifying than an army of the dead.

The man stood feet evenly apart prepared for the creatures next attack. His sword resting calmly in his hands and all he could feel was the calm of the fight. The peace he felt between each attack made the man enjoy the battle rather than fear the outcome. His adrenaline pumping as the beast lunged and the man moved to his right swing his blade. The sword hit the beasts hideous arm and sliced it clean off. Blood covered the pale white snow as the creature moved back howling in pain from the man's attack.

This only made the creature angrier though and it charged the man again on three legs, barely giving him time to dodge out of the way. Luckily by the skin of his teeth, he managed to roll out of the way, into the frigid snow and stand up again.

A chill brushed against his face and he knew he had to end this battle quickly or it wouldn't be the beast that bested him but the weather. Moving quickly he decided to change the pace of the battle and swept his sword up as he neared the beast. His sword connected with the beast slicing cleanly through it. Blood splattered on the snow as the beast howled in pain falling to the ground upon its back. Standing over the creature the man smirked even though he was in pain as he plunged his sword through the beasts still beating heart. The dying vibration of the creature's heart echoing through the blade as he removed it sending a sigh of relief and slight disgust through man.

"At least that's over," he said to himself as he sheathed his blade and began to walk away.

"Well I'll be damned Lord Ryder in the flesh," A female voice called out.

"Who-," he began as he looked to see a woman about 22 standing before him a staff in her hand and a mark of magic on her arm.

"Sorceress Anna at your service me lord."She said this all with a sarcastic bow and Ryder knew that she was sent to collect him.

"Call me Damien I haven't been a Lord for about 20 years now." The man replied as he threw his hood back on covering his hair and part of his face.

"We need you now. You and the other 5 there's danger on the horizon and you and your team are the only ones that can deal with it."
