The moon shimmered, looking down on the world of humanity. City G was still quiet bustling despite the late hour. I hopped from rooftop to rooftop. Watching the small dots of humans bustling far below. This was the city where the council of swordsman or whatever gather.

I gained techno-kinesis from some computer monster about three years ago so I have a hobby of tapping into radio waves of conversations that I really shouldn't be listening to; police chatter, hero association news, etc... Like I've mentioned before, I have metamorphosis due to consuming monsters, so I can quite literally sprout an antenna if I want. It looks weird though.

'Hey a dragon has to...err Dragonoid? Dragoman? Eh, I'll come up with a cool name later. (same excuse, same excuse).'

Anyway, I'm in city G because I want to watch some kind-of training event those council of swords people are supposed to be having today. It should be entertaining. Oh and I got Sweet Mask concert tickets here too, so I can stop by that later. I befriended this kid in city B when I helped dig his stuff out a ruined house and he gave me one since they had extra, but to be honest they weren't going to use it.

Finally, I can jump off these skyscrapers and land in the park where its all supposed to go down. Let's just adopt a more human form because I don't want a bunch of swordsmen getting all trying to jump me. Not that they could do anything but, I have an easy life, no point ruining it now.

I swiftly glide between the trees. Eyes narrowed, as I follow the glowing heat signatures in front of me. Eventually I came to rest, pushing an errant branch down so I could peek through the foliage.

'Uh, my back is so itchy. Maybe I can use one of these branches to scratch it?'

Just as that thought crossed my mind, I saw them. A couple of A-rank heroes who were disciples to that S-class hero Atomic bomb...err Samurai. They did the traditional greetings and whatnot before they started to spar. Their master watching them closely. I watched their movements closely. The triangle hair has good footwork but lacks the precision of the knight armoured one. Huh, haven't seen that move before. Going to remember that.

I froze. There was a feeling, in the air. I felt my hair shift in the current. Something big and it's coming this way.

Letting go of the human form I stand. My wings flaring out of my back behind me as this giant monstrous samurai leapt into the clearing. He introduces himself, does the whole 'I was a human and now I'm a monster yadda-yadda' speech. What interested me was the three-pronged swords sprouting from his wrists. He swiped and It knocked those heroes back.

Atomic Samurai stepped forward to attack, but I leapt out of the bushes and landed in between them.

Looking over my shoulder at Atomic I grinned. "Hope you don't mind if I take this."

The samurai monster roared and swiped at me. I flashed my fangs and grabbed the blades. Twisting him towards me and headbutted him with enough force that his head exploded. He fell, defeated and I reached out. Crushing forces swirled and the previously alive monster is shrunk to the size of the manga figures I keep at home. I bounded forward and snatched it up. Unhinging my jaw to reveal rows of teeth and dropped it in. 'Hmm. Crunchy.' I looked down at my hands/claws and flexed them. Watching 3 long blades spring from the knuckles. 'Huh'. I retracted them and stretched. "Too easy."

"Hmm Monsters killing other monsters, don't see that every day. Doesn't matter, you all die the same." I turned, equal parts fighting the urge to laugh at Atomic Samurai's overconfidence and grimace at the obvious prejudice.

"Look man, thanks for the snack and all, bye." He moved to unsheathe his katana. In a flash of fiery light, I teleport-ed away. No need to fight him when he's human. Of course, I hadn't gone far. Just a kilometre up. I hovered. Chuckling slightly as I watched Atomic lose his [redacted] over my sudden disappearance.
