KATHERINE MICHELLE HOPPER had always enjoyed the finer things in life.
By finer, she meant she appreciated when she could get away from home. While she could have gone to the library to study, she might've been able to pick up an extra shift at work to help out at home, she never seemed to gravitate toward those options. Above all else, she found herself always picking something else.
In fact, at that current moment, she didn't really care that she should've been studying to keep her straight As, or that she might've been able to pick up an extra shift at work to help out at home: whatever it was, it definitely wasn't hanging out with Steve Harrington.
Steve laughed as the girl seemingly bounced around the room, dancing to whatever song came on the radio. He knew he must have been the only person that had ever seen his best friend act that way. He always enjoyed watching her let loose considering she, most of the time, felt like she never could.
As she sang "Come On Eileen" the most poorly and out-of-breath Steve had ever heard, her arms failed in about every direction possible, the sleeves of her oversized sweatshirt falling to her elbows. It wasn't actually hers, but it had originally belonged to Steve. Of course, it hadn't truly belonged to him in years—she'd taken it before he could have worn it more than once or twice (even after all the years it had been in her possession, though, she swore it still smelled of him and his cologne).
