Flashback 1 The Mills-Locksley Family/Learning Magic

Regina- First no yelling in this house what so ever. Her voice was calm but stern.

Henry nodded.

Regina- Second since when are you into archery? Regina asked genuinely surprised. Henry had never been that athletic. Preferring his video games.

Henry- Well I was thinking I should probably learn if going to be a "Merry Man".

Regina- Oh so you are going a "Marry Men"? Regina asked with a raised eyebrow. Glancing at Robin who was getting to his feet.

Robin- I believe Henry is a little confused. I clearly said that I would discuss it with you first. Robin says while going to the fridge about to start the rest of their breakfast.

Regina- As far as archery goes. I don't have a problem with it if you only do it with your Dad. Regina said to a amazed Henry. He never would have thought she would agree so easily.

Roland- If Daddy is going to tech Henry arperry can Mommy tech me magic? Roland asked innocently.

Robin- It's pronounced arch-ery. Also I didn't know you wanted to learn magic? Robin said completely surprised by his younger son newest interest. Of course he knew that Roland was fascinated by Regina magic, He just never expected him to want to learn himself.

Roland- Of course I do. Magic is so cool! Roland said enthusiastically.

Robin looked at Regina unsure what to say. Neither of them had ever heard of anyone who started to study magic so young. At the same time they couldn't bring themselves to say no to the smiling boy.

Regina- I have an idea. How about I ask aunt Z what she thinks about it? Regina says to Roland.

Roland- Ok! Roland said.

Regina knew Zelena world be the best person ask about this. Even though she had nothing but respect for Emma, Zelena had a lot more experience. She needed to talk to someone who knew what it was like to have magic when they were still a kid.

After they all finished breakfast Regina poofed to outside Zelena's house.

Regina walked up to Zelena front porch and knocked on the door. She heard baby Kiki crying. After a couple of minutes the door opened and revealed a obviously tired Zelena.

Regina- I'm sorry. Is this a bad time? I can come back later. Regina says nervously.

She doesn't particularly what to start a fight. Especially considering all the progress they had made in their relationship.

Zelena- What. No no please come in. Zelena said while poofing a baby-bottle into her hand.

The two sisters walked into the redhead's living room. Regina sat down on the couch while Zelena got Kiki.

Zelena- So what can I do for you sis? Zelena asked as she gave Kiki her bottle.

Regina- Roland asked me tech him magic. Regina said with a smile.

Zelena- No way. Zalenna said completely shocked.

Regina- I know. Robin and I couldn't believe it ether. So I wondering how old you were when you started learning? Regina asked curiously.

Zelena- Well I first found out I had magic when I was 6-1/2 years old, Roland's age. Even though I was able lean some things on my own it would have been a great help to have a teacher long before Rumpel, and not just because he's "The Dark One" Zelena said.

Regina nodded. She should have realized her sister didn't have a teacher before Rumpel

Regina- So you don't think he's to young? Regina asked curiously.

Zelena- No I don't. I feel that no matter the age if a person what's to learn magic they were always meant to. Zelena said as she took away Kiki's bottle.

Zelena- Actually talking about this reminds about something I wanted to get your opinion on? Zelena asked.

Regina- Of course. What's on your mind? Regina asked curiously.

Zelena- Well I don't really have a job. Zelena said as she burped Kiki.

Regina- I've noticed. Regina said with smile.

Zelena- You see I've only ever used magic to live on. But now that I have Kiki I know I don't want to raise her like that. I want her to have more skills then just magic. I want her to know the value of "normal work" but I can't do something that doesn't require magic. Then an idea came too me. An idea combines both. What if I became the school's magic teacher? Zelena asked with a nervous smile.

Regina's eyes widened. She had never thought of her sister as a teacher. But after thinking for a moment she could see it.

Regina- I can't say that I'm not surprised by this, but think you would make a wonderful teacher. Regina said with a smile.

Zelena- Do you really think so? Zelena asked biting her lip.

Regina- I do. I'm really excited for you. Regina said with a grin.

Zelena- Thanks sis. Zelena said happily.

After the sisters chatted for another half an hour Regina headed home.

Regina- All right Roland let's start. The first thing you need to know is that magic comes from emotion. How you feel. Regina explained with a smile.

Roland listened intently. He was very eager to learn magic.

Regina- Now I'm sure you know that anger is used for dark magic and love is used for light magic. Regina said with a smile.

Roland nodded. It was clear that he was very interested.

Regina- I want you to close your eyes and focus on your emotions. Regina said clearly.

Roland did what his mom said.

Regina- Ok see Henry's video-games all over the floor? Regina said with a hint of annoyance.

Roland giggled. Henry was always very messy with his games.

Regina- All right try to use magic to make them into a pile. Regina said calmly.

Roland took a deep breath and focused on his big brother's games.

Then to his surprise a cloud of brown smoke surrounded them and traveled to the Coffee-table. When it touched the wood the smoke disappeared revealing a single pile of alphabetized video-games.

Roland- I did it! Roland said excitedly.

Regina- What were you feeling Roland? Regina asked curiously.

Roland- Excited! I wanted to do good job. Maybe a little nervous too. Roland said honestly.

Regina smiled. It appeared Roland would become a fine wizard.
