Prescott is complicated. Moody. And absolutely the kind of person who fucking does whatever the hell he wants. Unlike his sister, Cott is reserved and mostly tries to mind his own business. But of course, cannot keep it that way. He is like his sister in some ways. Prefers to be alone or with the closest of his friends. But there are a few things both the siblings have in common. For example, curiosity. Perhaps the way his mind works is entirely different than the way of his sister, they both are the one who doesn't know how to give up. Or back off from a challenge. He is more based on logic — not living in any sort of fantasy like his sister — and tries to think one step ahead of everyone. Everything. Absolutely reckless and daring at times no one would ever expect him to be. He has a surprise factor and the reason his image is like a person no one expects much from, he could prove himself worthy of every effort and trust.
In nature, Cott is a bit aggressive and hates being humoured around. He is the one person who cannot take a joke if the joke is not funny for him. Or, well, it depends on his mood. He hates socialising, meeting new people. Everytime he meets a new person he feels like dying, feels suffocated around unknown crowd. That being said, he hates the idea of moving out of the town because he knows if he did, he would not be able to survive. According to Prescott, a family is the only possession one could have for lifelong, rest, just come and go. Yes, there are people who stay a little longer but the longer they stay, the more they destroy you, because you get used to them. And when they finally decide to move on and leave you all alone, no matter the reason, all you have got is this void in your heart, that no one would ever be able to fill.
But, with everything he does to push everyone away, he is actually the person who is in need for something real. Something he would never lose. He doesn't know what that particular thing could be but he is looking, still searching. When I say reserved, I'm not saying he is completely closed off. No, not all. There is a difference. Cott could easily get along people, and could initiate a good intellectual conversation, if he finds the person genuine and worth his loyalty. Because Prescott doesn't know the definition of betrayal. His promises, commitments, and resolutions are not fake. He mean all of them, with all his heart. And would do everything in his power to prove himself worthy of your affection and trust. Faith. He even could be flirty, and doesn't mind approaching someone he likes. The only conditions...? He just wants that person to like him back, because if they don't, he just sinks deeper into his shell. Not good for his already crumbling confidence.
