Him And Her!

Chapter 3

Ariyan's P.O.V:

Adam and I were trying out for the team, we played a bit of basketball in college, but got bored of it, but now I wanna try it out again.
"I hope that girl doesn't bother Maya", Adam mentioned as we entered the locker room.
" who cares, Maya and Fatima are annoying as hell, and why you even thinking of her huh?"
" nah just wondering that's all bro", Adam hurriedly said as he shut the door to the changing room.

Maya's P.O.V:
I was running a bit late today, Fatima and I finished our classes and went back home for a while, we sat ti watch T.v and totally forgot about the time. We saw the clock hit 6 and remembered visiting hours end at 8, as we rushed out the house, my mum screamed ti take a box of chocolates for grandad.

We got to the hospital by 7, I sat down with my grandad and fed him his dinner, as Fatima and I talked and laughed with him, I couldn't help but wonder how life would be for my grandad if my grandma was still alive. She would be by his side at all times, seeing him like this brought a tear to my eyes.
As the three of us joked and chatted, 8:00 hit and we realised we have to leave soon. " grandad who are the chocolates for?, mum said you asked for him," I curiosity asked.
" beta theyre for this young man that works here, he was supposed to start his shift at 7 but I don't know where he is,leave them by the table , he will come soon." My grandad informed.
I nodded, placed the chocolates on the table and both fatima and I waved and said our Salams.
" I'll miss you and we will be back soon okay" I kissed his cheek and we made our ways back home.

Adam's P.O.V:
I finished basketball and looked down at my watch. 8:00pm??? Oh my God I was supposed to start work at 7, I am so late. I ran to the changing rooms and whipped off my shirt.
" bro calm down it's just a hospital, I can drop you if you want", Ariyan said.
" bro I need to be there for 7, the patients like timetables and schedules, I need to be there for them. "

As I ran out of room, waving back at Ariyan , I texted my manager telling her how sorry I am. Luckily she's a sweet little lady, she wasn't too upset but I told her I'd stay back longer.
I got to the hospital just before 9, I said my usual hellos to my regulars and made my way to the 4th floor with the snack cart.
" Hello, Maureen, how are you today, I'm gonna leave 2 cups of stawberry milk for you, I know they're you're favourite " I whispered.
Maureen giggled as she took the cartons from my hand.
I rolled the cart around the room giving each person a snack or drink. As I got to the end of the room I noticed Aahmed was fast asleep. I smiled , old people can be so cute.  I left some jelly for him and just as I was about to wheel away, I hear my name being called.
I walk over to Aahmed and ask if everything's okay,
" beta I made my granddaughter bring some chocolates for you, take it and eat it, she got her favourite ones, I hope you like them" Aahmed quietly said.
I can't say no to chocolates, i greatfully took them and put them on the bottom of the cart.

3 hours later-
As I sat to have my break, I bit down into one of the chocolates, I couldn't help but wonder who Ahmed's granddaughter was, if only I came a little earlier. Maybe I could have met her. Oh well , maybe next time.
As I sat in the chair , I opened up instagram, oh Ariyan posted a picture of both of us. I smiled as I took a screenshot.
Upon taking a second glance,I see a beautiful familiar face in the background, it's Maya, her soft brown eyes , her baby pink lips and her pearly white's shining as she smiled.  I'm glad Ariyan took that picture.
My break quickly came to an end and I went back to tend to my patients. As the night rolled on I couldn't help but hope I bump into Maya once again.
