AN: This is indeed a dream I had, but being as dreams are often blurred around the edges and not very clear, I did have to embellish and change a few parts. However, most of it has styed the same. I've also changed names.

She stood in front of the adult, rolling her eyes and paying little attention to what she said. Apparently Rebecca had done something to make the woman angry. The lady in front of her stood with her weight all on one leg and her arms crossed in front of her chest, impatiently tapping her foot on the had floor beneath. Then suddenly she relaxed the pose and said "Would you rather be transported to another world and live in captivity, or, live on earth with out eating food ever again?" She said it snidely, a hint of poorly concealed venom in her voice. She held out two bracelets, the exact same, braided hair with a strip of mettle in the middle, with two blood red beads to either side. The only difference between the two was what was written on them. As one might expect, one said, 'transported to another world and live in captivity' and the other 'live on earth with out eating food ever again'. without really thinking she reached out to touch one as she gave her answer. "I'd rather be transported to another world obviously!" And as her fingers brushed the hard mettle of the bracelet she looked up at the woman's face for the first time. Her features were blurred, nothing discernable from the mass of color that was her face. Two black slits blinked down at her and her mouth opened to revel a pit of darkness like she'd never seen before. The cold of the bracelet stung her hand, traveling up her arm to mingle with the dread in her heart. She blinked in dismay only opening them to see a stone plaza that hadn't been there before.

Rebecca staggered, shock taking over her senses and she rubbed her head in frustration and astonishment. Something caught her eye as she lowered it again and she glanced at her wrist. On it the bracelet gleamed dully at her. The words had changed as well. 'Escape'. She looked away and for some reason It didn't bother her that she'd ben sent here. She almost felt like she belonged here. A strange sense of deja vu came over her and she rushed towards a building in front of her. She'd been here before and a part of Rebecca told her she had to get inside before the doors closed and she'd have to spend the night out. She caught the handle and strode inside. The interior reminded her of a warehouse, but with walls. Or maybe an extremely old jail. In front of her was a desk with kids her age signing in and out. They all had on heavy metal collars, a short chain dangling to the chest so once caught you could be led, and scratchy, dirty shirts with matching pants, patched here and there with odd bits and ends. She wore the same apparel. A small girl walked past and she caught her arm, she felt she recognized the girl and she might know the answer to her inquiry. "How long have I been gone?". The girl looked confused and Rebecca expected her to say was something along the lines of "I'm sorry, I don't know you." Then walk off. But instead she replied, a little dazedly, "The usual. Only a few hours or so." She peered a little closer at Rebecca's face, with a concerned look. "Are you okay, Rey? You don't look so good."

Rebecca hung lightly from the doorframe of her room, swinging from one hand to another. Thoughts running lightning fast through her head, buzzing in a busy swirl of new information. She was slowly starting to 'remember' things, if that's what you'd call it. She wasn't entirely sure if they were her own memories or if she'd dropped into someone else's body. Mostly it was names and faces, some half conceived ideas of what they were doing here and little inklings of importunateness that seemed to waft from random things about the building. Here her name was Rey, and her best friend, the one she'd stopped in the hall, was Lilith. They were in a housing facility for some sort of slave trade type deal, where their.... She guessed you could call it a company, rented them out to do various tasks. They were not paid or taken care of properly. They got 3 meals a day to keep them physically stable, and made to sleep in 4 by 4 meter rooms with 4 to 6 other people. In the middle of the room was one small cot, a rickety matrace atop it. It was paired with one thin wool blanket, and no pillow. On the floor Lay the normal two other blankets... and 3 more. They were getting new room mates. From what Rebecca (Rey) understood, their facility was running a little low on hands and so they'd been left with a little extra room in their cell. They'd have been transferred from another facility, to theirs, probably from a troublemaking group that'd been split up. Like the one she'd been a part of. Lilith and the other girl in the room lay on the bed chatting tirelessly as she waited by the door. Only a few minuets passed as she caught sight of a small panel in the side of the wall. It struck a strong memory somewhere in her and she struggled with the thought. There was a small scab of pealed paper near one of the corners, underneath the wood was oddly intact. With no sign of being worn. Only then did three people come around the corner. The boys looked a little lost, and the first two passed their hallway completely at first, only returning once the third offered the right direction. They wore a slightly different set of cloths, but had been embellished with the collar that incased all their necks. They looked at the numbers which had been scratched above each door, stopping once they'd looked at the one above her. The one first in line turned around almost immediately, murmuring to his companions "I think we have the wrong room number, 'cause there are people in that one." But she smiled and stopped them from going any farther. "No. You've got it right." She let go of the frame and dropped to the floor. "I'm assuming you're our new room mates." They all looked at her, each weary in their own way. The one that had been leading the way, that had turned once he'd seen the girls, was built with a strong back. His shoulders were wide and his tall, thick frame made him perfect for heavy duty work. The smaller boy behind him was pretty average, his dark curly hair and warm brown eyes making him merely attractive. But from the look of his hands and the scar curving around his wrist made it clear he'd worked hard over his life time, bearing through the troubles as they came. By far the smallest of the three, the boy in the back was half concealed by the other two, but he seamed smart, his small build and soft face making him look childish. As they reluctantly came forward she gestured towards the girls, "This is Lilith," Lilith grinned at them and nodded a hello, "and", she motioned to the other girl, "Abigale." Abby's smile was small and shy. Supposedly 'Rey' had known her for around a year, they'd been room mates the whole time and had often worked together. She was cute, nothing extraordinary, but her features were small and evenly proportioned. In conclusion she was a bright girl and Rebecca liked her. She then gestured to herself. "And I'm... Rey." She frowned a little at the thought of using her 'new' name, but decided that it would confuse too many people if she insisted her name was Rebecca. The boys nodded and each girl and then continued to briefly give their names. The biggest was Alf, supposedly short for Alfred although he didn't say so. The second, with the dark hair was Hunter, and the last, Zip. Zip came out from behind the other two as he said his name. He stood tall and proudly pronounced his name, looking directly at her in the eyes. He was a courageous little fellow with blond hair and a small piercing in one ear. They milled about the room, unconsciously separating into two small groups.
