It Started With Some Cookies (Bakugou x Shinsou [rarepair])

The Start

UA highschool had deciced that adding in some living skills classes for the students would be a good idea, which added a cooking class for everyone and mixed the classrooms. 1A and 1C had been mixed for cooking class and since Christmas was right around the corner they were learning how to make treats today. Aizawa stood at the front of the classroom being the most fit to teach this class. Everyone sat at the tables that all included an oven, a microwave, and cabinets full of utencils. There were two to a table and the classes werent mixed more split from one half of the room to another, except for Bakugou who wouldn't let anyone sit with him and no one fought him on it. That is until someone had came in late and it was the last seat. Aizawa had motioned for the student to sit next to Bakugou earning a dissatisfied grunt from Bakugou as his space was invaded. When the blunet had sat down next to him he didnt even glance in his direction which left a nagging feeling of anger in Bakugou for no reason. He noticed he was staring at him and turned his attention back to the board making sure to get the recipe down. After they were let go to make the recipe Shinsou had finally glanced at him with questioning eyes.

"So...do you know how to cook?" He rubbed the back of his neck and yawned a bit waiting for an answer as Bakugou started walking back towards the refrigerators and the pantry. "Well, as charming as ever," he got up and followed him back figuring he wouldn't ask for help, but needed it. When he got back there Bakugou had milk, sugar and flour in his arms, Shinsou let out a small chuckle at the fact even when baking he went over the top. Bakugou had turned upon hearing the giggle.

"What're you laughing at eggplant," Bakugou glared at him before going back to searching, finally finding the chocolate chips but having no hand space left. Shinsou reached over and grabbed a baggie of chocolate chips and stole the recipe paper going around and grabbing vanilla, baking soda, salt, and finally grabbed two sticks of butter and two eggs from the fridge. He walked up to Bakugou and haded him the paper and started walking back to their table.

"I'm helping you Boom Boom Hair," before Bakugou could respond he bumped into Midoriya and almost dropped everything im his arms. He growled at him and his hands smoked a bit as Midoriya had started to spout apologies. Shinsou had pulled on Bakugou's arm and with a grumble and a bit of struggling he walked back to their table and set the ingredients down.

"Stupid god damn Deku!" he glared at his hands as they started to smoke again filling the room with his nitroglycerin smell. Shinsou just stared at him waiting for him to be ready to complete the task, after staring at him for a good 3 minutes Bakugou had noticed and become a bit uncomfortable."What the hell you looken at me for you overgrown panda?" He started to grab the ingredients and organize them then grabbed a mixer from under the table. Shinsou rolled his eyes and grabbed a sifter and started to sift the dry ingredients together as Bakugou started to mix the butter in the mixer. As Bakugou started to mess with the mixer Shinsou stole a glance at him for once seeing a calm expression on his face, which surprised him and he ended up accidentally sifting some flour onto the counter. Bakugou had reached over and pushed his hands so the sifter was back over the bowl. "You know you're supposed to keep the flour IN the bowl, right?" Bakugou grabbed the sugar and mixed it in with the butter and Shinsou let a small smile appear on his face, 'Looks like hes a softie under all that explosive personality' he chuckled a bit and looked back at the sifter finishing and leaving the flour, baking soda and salt in the bowl. Bakugou tilted his head confused as to why the freak was smiling but smirked considering he never smiled and took is as a compliment that he was funny. After mixing the sugar in he cracked the two eggs into the bowl and mixed it a bit more. Shinsou was just watching him cook now and he was comfortable with the staring turning back to make him do something evey once in awhile as he mixed in the vanilla."Okay give me the flour mixture," Shinsou had grabbed the bowl and then walked up behind Bakugou setting it on the counter, Bakugou nodded and grabbed the bowl mixing it in slowly bit by bit and Shinsou watched from over his shoulder still surprised that Bakugou was so good at baking. The close distance was comfortable and Shinsou found himself leaning his chin on Bakugou's shoulder as he watched him. Bakugou flinched a bit then looked at him briefly before scoffing with his cheeks turning a light shade of pink and continued mixing the batter. After he mixed it in Shinsou backed away from him because he noticed the weird position and people were starting to stare, Bakugou had seemed to ignore them which he thought was for the best. "Hey go grab some ice cream scoops," he said weirdly calm as he took the bowl off of the mixer and Shinsou searched around in the utensil drawers for ice cream scoups finally finding them as he felt Bakugou's eyes on him. He looked up at him from his crouched position on the floor then walked up to him handing him one, Bakugou took it then walked over to the cookie sheet that was sitting on the preheating oven. Bakugou looked back at Shinsou and gave him a look of 'What're you waiting for?' then grabbed his hand pulling him over with a roll of his eyes and a small grunt. "Come on and help me with this part at least," he started scouping cookie balls onto the cookie sheet and Shinsou had started to do the same until the cookie sheet was full and the oven was preheated. Bakugou put the cookies in and set a timer for ten minutes. They both stood at their station and Shinsou pulled his phone out only to have Bakugou snatch it.

"Hey gimme my phone Boom Boom Hair," Shinsou reached for it only having Bakugou grab his hand and stuff the phone in his pocket and look at him. Shinsou looked back confused then whined "Come on give me my phone back Bakugou," Bakugou flushed a bit at the surprising noise and felt the eyes in the room turn to them he turned around and let off a small explosion with his hand and they turned back to their own stations. Shinsou had his hand on Bakugou's hip failing to get to his pocket because he had moved and Bakugou swatted his hand away.

"No were in class you eggplant, no phones," he let go of Shinsous hand and turned to go clean up their station when he felt someone's arms around his neck and looked back up to see Shinsou basically hugging his neck and whining about his phone quietly. Bakugou blushed a bit then scowled "Get off me you overgrown panda!" Shinsou shook his head and only tightened his grip around his shoulders.

"Only if you give me my phone back Boom Boom Hair," Bakugou growled a bit and just stood there for a bit, Shinsou pouting and mumbling over his shoulder before Bakugou pulled him off and in set Shinsou in front of himself then looked up forgetting that he was shorter which made him fume a bit. Shinsou giggled a bit and patted his head.

"I'm not some dog you freak! Don't pet me!" He swatted at Shinsou's hand and glared at him as he just continued to giggle. Bakugou walked closer and glared at him harder as Shinsou's giggles got louder and he put one hand on his chest trying to calm his breathing. Mineta had decided to sneak through their station because it was faster and accidentally bumped into Shinsou's legs and knocked him off balance. Shinsou let out a weird noise and prepared to fall backwards but he ended up suspended in the air he looked up and saw Bakugou's face very close and felt his arms around him his cheeks turned a light pink and before either of them could say anything the timer went off and Shinsou stood up quickly accidentally brushing their lips together then went to grab an oven mitt. Bakugou stood up but kinda just stood there confused then looked at Shinsou as he took the cookies out and set them on the stove top. 'Yeah, im screwed'.
