Introduction

"He's quirkless"

Two words that shattered a young boys dreams of ever becoming the hero he wanted to be. He wanted to be a hero for as long as he could remember. He worshipped heroes, especially the number one hero known as All Might. Now, he had no hope of becoming a hero.

The green haired boy sat there with a opened mouthed smile on his face. The words of his mother and the doctor didn't register until his mother stood up. Tears filled the eyes of the hopeless boy. Nothing registered right. The walk to the car, the drive home, the walk into his home. Nothing but the video in front off him that started it all. 

Knock, Knock

His mother slowly opened the door to the bedroom that belonged to the quirkless boy, worry spread across her face as she watched her only son slowly turn his head to face his mother, floods of tears pouring down his face as his finger shakily pointed to the video showing his favourite hero. His opened smile face was still there but it was clear he was faking. He watched as his mother rushed over, kneeling down and hugging her son tightly, saying the two words that would push him so close to giving up on becoming a hero. His only dream shattering towards him. 

"I'm sorry" 

Izuku Midoirya. That was the name of the hero who would far surpass anyone's imagination. A power he will come to accept but a power he will sacrifice his emotions for. His mother left his son in solitude so he could continue watching the video, silently shutting the door behind him. He rewound the video over and over again until he accidentally clicked off it. He opened his mouth to call for his mother when he noticed the main character in front of him, watching as the bald hero defeated a monster so easily. 

"One Punch Man?" He thought as he continued watching the video in front of him, his eyes clued to the screen as he held the action figure in his hands slightly tighter. He watched the first episode before moving onto the next, then the next and then the next until he had completed the first season off the anime. Of course, it was late at night and nearing his bed time. Even though everyone gave up on him, he had the same feeling had had before meeting the doctor. Hope. 

"I will become a hero!" The young boy said with confidence laced through his voice.
