"No, wait! Don't go!" as she mangled herself into her bed sheets, Ania had tossed and turned until she woke up gasping for breath. Her light red colored hair was wet with her sweat, and her arms seemed to be shaking her bed. She sat up on her bed and looked at her surroundings realizing she was at her new house.
She let her herself fall backward on her bed and realized it was only a dream. She raised her arms and covered her face, while she told herself, "It's ok, it's ok." When she started breathing normally, she let her arms fall to the side and stared at her ceiling.
The color of her new bedroom walls was beige, seemed kind of dingy, and there were some cracks. Her floor was wood, but it looked like no one had taken care of it for quite a while. She still had her stuff packed in her boxes, which also made her realize, she didn't arrive at her new home until 3 am.
"How long have I slept?" she mumbled to herself. She rolled over to her side and stretched her arm to reach for her digital watch on the night table. "7:56? Huh, almost five hours, how sad. I wonder how late teens my age wake up" She mumbled as she left her digital watch on the same place she found it. "I curse myself for not being a normal seventeen-year-old."
She rolled on her back once more and hugged her blankets. She assumed, since it was still early, it would be a good idea to go back sleep. Unfortunately, her older sister, Momo, had different plans.
Momo opened the door and gleefully said, "Good morning lil sis! Time to wake up, get ready; it's time for you to register for school!" Ania, who was still under her covers, mumbled a set of unpleasant words. If her sister heard her, Momo would stuff a bar of soap into her mouth.
"Alright, come on sleepy head, what makes you think that you were going to stay in bed all day?" asked Momo.
Ania stood up and sat on her bed as she continued to hug her covers, "Oh, I'm sorry, I completely forgot that humans ONLY sleep five hours a day. My my, how lazy of me."
Momo put her hands on her hips, put all of her weight on her right foot, which made her left hip slightly higher, and arched one brow as she showed half of her teeth with her smirk.
"Don't be such a smart ass, come on put some clothes, you need to look good at your new school and meet new people, not only that but, school registration takes at least five hours. The sooner you go-"
"The sooner I finish, yes, yes, I hear it every time we move to a new home."
Momo gave a suspicious look to Ania, let out a sigh and turned around, "Alright then, the school said the city bus can drop you off there directly" Momo stuck her hand inside her jeans pocket and pulled out a folded paper, "This paper has directions to the school and the bus times, also I'll be leaving a cellphone with it that way you can call me in case anything else happens. I'll leave it on the dining table so you can grab it on your way out."
"You talk too much, you know that?" Ania responded with annoyance in her voice.
Momo ignored her sister's response and walked out of her room without closing her door.
"You forgot to close my door!" Ania shouted as she stomped out of her bed to close the door. "Ugh, adults." She rolled her eyes as she looked around and remembered her clothes were still inside the cardboard box.
I'll just wear my clothes from yesterday, she thought to herself. She got ready within five minutes, slipped on her sky blue hoodie on top of her workout tank top, slipped on her flare jeans and put on her converse like sneakers.
As she walked out of her bedroom, she grabbed her wallet and proceeded to the dining table. Grabbed what her sister left for her and walked out of the ancient house.
