I lay in my bed, eyes strained and finger cramping from refreshing my emails all day. I was anxiously waiting for THE email. The one that holds my future. I applied for a modeling gig recently, and I was informed that I would be getting an email soon to see wether or not I got the job. I click refresh one more time.

With a shaking finger, I nervously click on the email. I screamed so loudly, one of my older brothers burst into my room. "What happened Cindy?! Are you ok?!" His chest rose and fell quickly. He looked like he just ran a mile. My eyes were wide and I couldn't stop smiling like an idiot. I couldn't get the words out, so I pointed at the screen. He took a big breath and strolled over. Part of my bed sank under his weight as he sat and read the short but sweet email. "Holy hell Cindy. Congratulations!" Yeah, I got the job. Yay me! I wrapped my arms around his thin body and buried my face in his emerald green t-shirt. I heard him chuckle lowly and wrap his long arms around me. He was much taller than me, around 6'2, so he pretty much engulfed me. Our little moment of happiness was inttetrupted when he was being called from the living room. "Antonio! I can't find the remote!" That was my brother Alejandro. They're twins, while I'm the younger sister. That made me the target for their shenanigans when I was little. "Have you tried searching up your ass?!" Antonio called back. "I'm being serious, man! Come help me look for it!" Antonio groaned deeply and ran his fingers through his thick, jaw length hair. "I gotta go help our idiot brother." He got up and started to walk out, but stopped in the door frame. He twisted at the waist to face me, and said "Make sure you tell Mom. You know how she is when she feels left out." He gave me a quick smile before heading out my room. I turn my attention back to my laptop and realize I didn't read the entire thing. I guess I got too excited. On the bottom, there's something that catches my eye.

We'll be looking forward to seeing you at our agency in New York City!

Did I read that right? Does that really say 'New York City' or am I going crazy? Sure enough, that's what it says. "Oh no..."
