Caspian's powers are controlling electricity, creating force fields and near invulnerability to physical damage.

------------------------------------------------

It happened again. Right in the middle of the day, my watch starts vibrating impatiently, calling for attention. Good thing I just got out of my meeting, otherwise I'd need to make an excuse to leave, or risk my identity and pretend to take notes while in reality, flipping my screen on and looking through my white shirt the colours which flash on the screen.

I go to the bathroom and examine my watch. It's flashing burning red and deathly black. This isn't good.

I quickly take off my glasses, click the side button on the right glass, and my uniform flies out and floats above the ground, waiting to be in use. But Cape starts getting impatient and in seconds the suit has moulded to my body.

"Thank you C., you really couldn't have waited another minute, could you?" I laugh, bending down to pick up my glasses. I then put them in my pocket and zap the plug, teleporting through the wires of the buildings electrical system, speeding away. I don't even worry if the others see that I disappeared because no one ever notices me anyway. I have my own little office with paper walls and that's pretty much it. Plus it's at the end of the hall and there isn't another person sitting within 3 offices from me, so I'm good. I remember how in the beginning I'd always worry about that fact, but I've gotten used to it and I don't even think twice about leaving anymore.

As I exit the building in the back, give C. a tug and he immediately takes off. Today it's an attack from Murder Conjuress, my arch nemesis. I soar through the skies, heading straight for Town Hall.

"Jarvis, present me footage of what's going on at Town Hall" I shout to my watch over the whirling wind.

"Town Hall, Friday, May 17, 2019. 12:47 pm. Murder Conjuress attack, telepathically controlling 2 victims" Jarvis states and afterwards plays footage from a security camera in front of town hall. I am shocked and there's nothing else for me to feel. She's calling me. As most villains think they can take me on and forcibly drag me into a fight due to their insanity, Murder Conjuress would always use more hurtful and brutal methods to get to me. That is the one thing I guess you could say that I liked about her; she would never call me to fight, drag me into a fight, force me, while others did. She would always pursue me and make me fight her on my own will. She hits psychologically deep areas in me and used to be able to control me telepathically as well. But not anymore. I have finally learned how to shield my mind and create a mental force field to protect my mind from her.

But seems like she's had a change at heart. The video showed 2 people seating behind a table, a gun in front of each of them. On the table it's written, at an angle that is perfectly seen to the camera: Electric Wave, you think you're such a hero, huh? Well let's see if you're a true hero at heart, shall we? Today, we shall find out the truth about you, and YOU will find out the truth about yourself as well...

I simply stare at the screen and don't even realize that the horror itself is right in front of me, as I just barely dodge the statue of myself, situated in the centre of Town Hall.

I drop down and face the table. I only then realize that these aren't simple civilians she's victimized. The one on the right is my sister, Mavis. And on the left... my father. They're both staring straight ahead, not even realizing who's in front of them, or for that fact, that there is someone in front of them. Suddenly they both reach across the table and take their gun, raising it to the right side of their head.

I lunge forward, attempting at pulling the gun from their hands, but to no avail, as it appears that their grips on the guns are like iron, and unfortunately super-strength isn't one of my powers.

"Hahaha, you look so hopeless, you pathetic wimp. Sissy and daddy got you teared up boy?"

I'd recognize that voice from anywhere. I spin around and face her.

"What is this all about, what is the point of this?! No robberies, no money, why are you doing this and what will you get out of this?" I yell back, fighting the fear slowly sinking in, trying to keep my posture.

"Ha, isn't it obvious? I'm not like those losers out there who want "richness and money, ooh ahh" no no no. I want to see you suffer. The only goal I ever had was to destroy you, slowly and painfully..." she spits out, smiling wickedly. But, no it can't be, but it's there. Even in the darkness of her jet black mask. A tear. A single tear leaks through her lashes and glistens on the surface of her mask.

I don't understand, but I don't have time to anyways, because in seconds she lunges for me impaling me into the cement with her iron fist, crushing my left rib. But seems like she has forgotten herself because I am invulnerable to physical damage. She realizes that a second too late and at that moment I pin her down flipping her over, but not for long. She teleports through the air and instead I hit the debris of cement with a thud. She flies in the air looking down at me in disgust.

"That all you got, pretty boy?" she teases.

I fly up and crush her onto the roof of the Town Hall, and with the sudden impact, send her mask flying off. It whirls in the wind and lands somewhere on the ground.

I'm ready to electrocute her, but a smile and tear stop me.

"Clara?" I choke out, staring my wife in the eyes. And in that second, that one second of weakness as I drop my hand, she snaps her fingers and a gunshot echoes in the silence following an inevitable thud. I drop to my knees, losing my hold on her and fight the coming tears to no avail.

She walks over to me, her burning red hair flowing in the wind. She picks me up by the throat and walks me over to the opposite edge of the Town Hall, right above Cold Creek lake and stares into my eyes. Into my shattered soul.

Our lips meet and then she backs away, extending her arm, leaving me dangling above the lake.

"Caspian, I had no choice. This is my duty. I didn't expect to fall in love with you, but in the end, I did. That is not a lie. I do love you, Caspian, and I always will," she chokes on the last part, crying herself. "You weren't supposed to find out till later, and not like this, but I knew that eventually, the day would come. I love you." and with that loosens her hold and let's go.

I hurtle towards the lake, knowing what will happen. And I may not survive this time, but I'm not sure whether I want to anyways. The water will disable me and then eventually drown me. Electricity and water are still inmates at war. Not even Cape can get me out of this, as apparently she sliced him sometime in the fight.

A thousand thoughts rush through my mind as the couple highlights of my life go by as well. How could she? Clara how could you, my own wife... But how did I not realize? She was always so secretive. I guess I did have doubts at times, but I could never make sense of it all, I simply couldn't make myself believe it. And what about our son? Is he dead? What will happen to him? And the gunshot, who died? Was it Mavis or Father? What will happen to my family...

Right as I'm about to hit the lake, as I can feel the tingling of the water. In that one final moment of silence, a single snap resonates through the wind, followed. By a gunshot. And a thud.

And then the echo in my head:

"I love you Caspian, and I always will"

Suddenly I am submerged into shock as water, followed by darkness envelopps me. I lose my vision, then my hearing and then I feel numb. I close my eyes as shock after shock attack me, and after what feels like eternity. I lie still.
