I sat on my horse riding near to my older brother Alexander. He's a well built boy, clearly trained to be a knight since his birth just like all lords in their youths. His eyes resembled a blue at times, but at other times they would hint a grey color. With brown hair that shined in the sun and armour that gleamed from the polish, his was the most well dressed knight any woman in the North would ever see.

We were riding north with our father. Though he would not tell us why, I knew we were headed to see the Lord Eddard of Winterfell, my father's oldest and dearest friend. After a two week journey from my home to Winter Town, we were greeted by Lord Eddard and Lady Catelyn, along with their children.

My eye was caught by Robb, the eldest of the Stark children, and he showed it as well. Before we had come to Winterfell, I met Robb only once when we were merely children, but those memories were faded and shattered by this new physique which he so elegantly displayed.

Lord Stark came to speak with my father, and he brought Robb and Jon with him. I remembered a time when Robb, Jon, and my brother played with wooden swords when we had visited. I had never been one to be lady-like, so I watched them against my father's wishes. My brother never wished me to fight, even if we were only playing with wood, but Robb asked me to join them. I had no idea why, but I was happy to join them, mostly because I did not have any friends and my brother never wanted to play with me.

Freya, the oldest Stark girl, was standing beside Sansa Stark. She looked like Lyanna Stark, Eddard Stark's sister, from all the stories I had heard of her. Next was Sansa, the second oldest girl. She had fiery auburn hair like her mother and Robb. She was too skinny for a girl her age, but brilliant from what I could remember. Her hair was braided into three separate sections, blue string tying the ends, and it was beyond me to understand why she looked so excited.

Next was Arya, the little girl who did not resemble either her mother or her father. Her eyes seemed as though she had those of a direwolf. Her hair was cut shorter than most girls of noble birth, and her she wore a boy's shirt and leather pants instead of a traditional dress. She too, like her sister, looked fascinated by the arriving knights and myself.

It was after Lord Stark said his welcomes and my father said his thank you's that we were allowed to remove ourselves from our horses. It was only me and my brother who stood there while Lady Stark looked to Robb and told him to take my brother and I to the rooms of which we would be staying in. As we walked away from the courtyard, Robb and Alexander argued over who was more skilled in archery, and every now and then Robb would look back at me and smile shyly. Sansa followed as well, and like a puppy, she chased at my heels.

She caught up to me and asked, "Did you know that the king is arriving in Winterfell soon?" She smiled with much excitement, because she has never met the king and queen before.

I faked smiled back and told her, "No, I did not hear this news. Why would the king and his royal guard be coming here?" I had never thought highly of any king, because they thought too much of themselves and not their people. They thought the stars were theirs to own and fire was theirs to hold, which they are not.

"I think he's to speak to my father about a seat in his small council. Oh, and Prince Joffrey," she gawked, changing the subject to the charming blonde prince. "I can not wait to see him for myself!" Her eyes lighted up when she spoke of him, but when she said his name, all I wanted to do is throw up. The prince was a spoiled brat.

I hope we leave before the king, queen and their children get here. I had thought to myself just before we reached our destination. When we arrived at the rooms, Alexander quickly pushed into his and closed the door, all before Robb came to my door and opened it for me. He smiled again and bowed his head politely, daring not to speak a word. When I walked into the room, he closed the door and left me alone in the poorly lit, ice cold, stone walled room.

After a few minutes of my searching through the place, my brother came into my room. "Hello, my lovely and beautiful sister," he said as he walked to me and kissed my forehead.

I looked up at him and giggled a little, "What do you want, Alexander?" I crossed my arms and shifted on my feet, watching as he slowly paced the room.

He smirked at me and said, "The better question is, what do you want, Sister?" He spoke as though he knew something I did not, and with a hint of the devil in his eyes.

I looked at him for a moment, waiting for an answer, "What are you not telling me?" I interrogated.

He leaned in and said quietly, "I hope you like Winterfell," and then he spoke normally, "Because it is likely that you are not to return home with me and Father."

"What are you talking about, Alex?" I continued to question him as he opened the door. I yelled at him, "What in the Seven Hells are you talking about? Alexander!" I called, and then the door shut.
