To my horror,they kick the door open which sends Caitlin crashing into the stone wall,she falls down and holds her head in pain.Andy,Me and Lauren look at them with rage and terror.
"Get away from my Mom!"
Andy screams and he makes the house shake,Agent Turner and Weeks must've fekt threatened because they drew their guns,pointing them to Andy with their fingers on the trigger.
"Not today bastard."
I say as i reach my hands out and pull them back in,the guns flying to my hand and i point them at them.Lauren uses her bubble shields and pushes them against the wall,trapping them and leaving them enough time to grab the car and escape.
Caitlin stands up shakily and rounds us up,pushing us out the door and into the car.Lauren gets in the passenger seat and me and Andy sit in the back seats,Lauren turns around and makes sure the shields hold before Caitlin pushes down on the engine and speeds away from the house,leaving Agent Turner and Weeks with the information they wanted.
I looked down,tapping my leg.I rested my head on Andy's shoulder as my eyes were turned down,a depressed look plastered on my face.I fiddled with my fingers and Andy noticed me and my concerning movements.
"Hey,you ok?"
He asks with a worried tone,i try to force a smile but it falters and i shake my head side to side,indicating him that i was NOT ok.
He pulls me closer to him and wraps his harm around me,stroking my back in a comforting way.
"It was too close back there Andy..way too close."
I say in a shaky voice.He nods his head and pulls my chin up for me to look at him,just like what he did back at the dance.
"Whatever happens,i will always be with you."
He says in a reassuring tone,i look at him with a doubtful but hopeful look in my eyes.
"Forever?"
"Forever."
Some Diner in Atlanta.
We met up with Reed in Atlanta and told him what happened,we decided to settle it over some food since we were all hungry anyways.I poked at my salad with my fork,putting a piece of lettuce in my mouth as Reed comes back ro us,passing Lauren a cup of coke.
The tension in the air could be cut with a knife,it was damn deadly.
"Alright Andy,what exactly happened?"
Reed says,going all interrogation mode.
Me and Lauren glared at Reed,it wasn't Andy's fault his parents didn't do enough to stop those stupid ass bullies from pouring burning water onto him and continued to bully him until Andy took matters into his own hands.
"They bullied Andy,alright?Stress or danger can trigger the X-gene,you know that more than anyone here Reed."
I say in a stern voice,protecting Andy.
"Watch it Tori,wasn't talking to you."
Reed replies,shooting daggers at me.I clench my jaw with his tone towards me and lifted my finger up,tapping back down on the table which made an invisible force push Reed harshly in his seat.
I wasn't messing around this time.
"Reed,this isn't a deposition.It's an understanding so we can go against Sentinel Services!"
Whisper yells Caitlin to her husband.He looks at us comfused and shocked when he hears Sentinel Services.
"You mean,cops right?"
Reed says,wishing we didn't say Sentinel Services.
"No Dad.Sentinel Services who already took over our damn house and practically abused Mom."
Andy says with a raging face and mad tone.
Reed sighs and i put the last piece of salad in my mouth and Reed stands up,heling Lauren out of the seats and cocked his head sideways for us to follow him.I grabbed my bag and followed Reed.He stopped at a motel and pulled out his phone and took out the SIM card and replaced it with a new one so they couldn't trace him.
