Chapter 11 (Part Two)

Notwithstanding Sparrows best attempts to relax, his nerves were still jangling like a handful of Old Time coins and his hands were shaking ever so slightly. Puck looked at Sparrow and tilted his head.

"Hey, are you okay? Your shaking..."

At Puck's soft words, the tears that Sparrow had been holding back for the longest time ever came spilling out, tearing at his throat with ugly sobs and gasping breaths. Puck looked at him in shock and took his hand, rubbing small circles on Sparrows skin, letting him cry it out. Sparrow cried for quite a while and Puck stayed with him the entire time while all of Sparrows concealed feelings spilled from his eyes like dropped Dimes. Slowly, Sparrow gathered himself and smiled weakly at Puck, his tears glittering on his face. Puck reached up and wiped away Sparrow's tears and blushed when he turned his face into Puck's hand, his breathing broken. Sparrow took Puck's hand into his own and squeezed softly.

"Sorry about that..."

"Oh, it's fine. Seems like you needed that anyway. Care to talk about it?"

"...Actually yeah. I've been holding this in for way too long. I've had this...infatuation, I guess you call it, with Roux for the longest time ever and it hurts to know that she'll never see me in the same way I see her. We've been like siblings ever since we met and my feelings just evolved as we got older and I started noticing things about her that I never noticed before and it scared me real bad. I tried showing her my true feelings but it seemed like she totally ignored them and went on with her life. Then, I learned that she was involved with Dimitri and...I got jealous. It's selfish and I know it but I don't know how to cope with that sort of thing. Then all of a sudden yo-someone else shows up in my life and it feels like my heart is being torn in two different directions. It's hard to deal with this sort of thing..."

"Well, what's this new person like?"

Sparrow doesn't answer, just reaches up to brush Puck's hair out of his face and instead of taking his hand away, he rests his hand on the back of Puck's neck. Puck felt a rush run up his spine as Sparrow suddenly leans in and presses his mouth to his. Puck doesn't know how to react and Sparrow, sensing his hesitation, pulls away, embarrassed. Puck wraps his arms around Sparrow's neck and slams his mouth against Sparrows, knocking him over. Sparrow growls deep in his throat and grips Pucks hips, the kiss suddenly becoming passionate. They lay there, wine bottle forgotten as Puck decides to kiss Sparrow's sorrows away, carving a new and different future for both of them. And they didn't pull away from each other for a good long while.
