This story takes place in a small, yet growing town of Lafayette, LA. It is overcrowded and your very cajun-inspired typical Louisiana town. On patios you will see Fleur-de-lis decor and beautiful potted plants. Downtown is a much smaller version of Bourbon Street. The shopping malls mostly consist of your typical stores separated by either common restaurants or"mom and pop" eateries.

There was one privately owned coffee shop that I enjoyed frequenting at least once every two weeks, typically on a payday. It was the kind of coffee shop that also sold hand-made soaps, organic snacks, teas, and candles. When you walk in it has wooden floors, a handcrafted small circular bar, and few tables spaced far apart. The bar is usually staffed by one or two people, but mostly one when business is slow.

Among the many neat things sold at the coffee shop was a wide selection of herbal remedy teas and bath mixes to help with allergies, congestion, and other every day annoyances. Before I forget- the name of the shop was "Cafe Vermillion".
