The Snowy Palanquin || Prologue

Event: Winter Rose Diamond's Emergence

Gems gathered around behind the diamonds and their pearls, awaiting the emergence of the 4th and youngest diamond. Wisteria and the other diamonds, Cordelia and Summer Void, touched the spot in where Winter Rose was said to emerge, their finger glowing, passing on a bit of their power to help Winter Rose's abilities. The ground started to glow, a sign that Winter Rose was emerging. The Diamonds were able to make a shield, to protect themselves and the other gems from anything that would happen during the emergence. An explosion occured from the spot, a heart shaped gem flew up in the air, it glowing. It started to take form, a glowing light blinded each and every gem, including the diamonds. As the light stopped, there he stood. He wasn't tall at all, just getting up to the upper thigh of Cordelia.

"He's so small.. So precious.. So cute.." Wisteria whispered, bending down and putting Winter Rose on her palm.

"..Who are you?" Winter Rose said, curling up in a ball on her palm, clearly scared.

"We're your family, Winter Rose.. I'm Wisteria."

"I'm Cordelia~!"

"..I'm Summer Void." He was trying to hold back his tears, but it failed as an emotional aura exploded out of his gem, making everyone sob mercilessly. Winter Rose stood up, not sure what to do, enabled his first ability, wings.

"Wings.. They're so beautiful..- Summer Void! Stop crying already! I can't see!" Cordelia shouted.

"Sorry-" Summer Void was interrupted as Winter flew up and hugged his face.

"We will have a ball to celebrate this momentous occasion later on tonight, please be ready to attend." Wisteria said to the gems.

"A.. ball?" Winter Rose questioned, still clinging onto Summer's face.

"It's a party, Moonlight. Everyone from Homeworld will be there, so act your best, alright? I don't expect you to have everything perfect though." Wisteria explained with a slight smile.

"But.. they'll treat me like a joke, wouldn't they? I'm not as tall as you or the others.." Winter said, looking down.

"Shh.. you can't let them know you're vulnerable to that, they'll treat you worse. Besides, you'll have some people to talk to anyway." Wisteria said, holding out her palm with around 6 poofed gems.

"Woah!! What are they?" Winter Rose said, stars appearing in his eyes.

"There's your Pearl, Selenite, Morganite, Nacre, Pezzottaite, and a Blush Quartz." Summer Void said as he lifted up Winter Rose to his hair, setting him down.

"Can I name my Pearl?" Winter Rose questioned, looking at Wisteria.

"Of course you can, Moonlight."

"I'm gonna name it.. Crescent Rose Pearl!"

"That's an amazing name Winter.." Summer said, smiling.

"You'll be getting a big ship and a palanquin just like us, alright? We just need the Bismuth and Peridots to hurry up." Wisteria sighed.

"We would need gems on his ship to manage it too, Wisteria. Ajoites should be perfect for him." Cordelia reminded.

"That's true.."

"Can we um.. go to whatever the place is called now? Howerldo..? No no.. Hoeworld.. No.. Homeworld!" Winter Rose said, looking at Summer Void.

"Alright.. let's go." Summer replied, putting Winter Rose tuck in his hair.
