"McKenna stop playing over your food and eat it already" Lauren my older sister said as I sat at the dinner playing over my barbecue chicken that my mom had just finished making about 10 minutes ago
"Ma you know I don't eat barbecue" I said annoyed at the fact she always made it knowing I didn't eat it nor like it
"Kenna shutup and eat your food I done slaved over that stove for hours preparing that food so suck it up and eat it" she said shaking her head as Lauren leaned back in the chair taking a bite out of her chicken
Shaking my head I watched as the both of them began to communicate with one another ignoring me as if I hadn't existed
Looking over at Emmanuel he just sat their ignoring everyone while he ate his food

Emmanuel was my uncle he was always over due to the simple fact that he barely had an life , he never dated or had any fun , all he did was come over here and eat our food and I say that all with love I love my uncle to death
Looking over at my mom she sat their smiling at Lauren as she talked about her new job promotion she had recently gotten

"Answer your uncle ken" she said as I looked at her confused
"I said how's nursing going for you?" He repeated
"Oh so far so good" I replied giving him a small smile , one thing about him was that he never left me out , he always included me in the conversations even if it had nothing to do with me
"Anyways I have to get going , nick is going to be waiting on me soon" Lauren said sliding her chair out getting up
"Tell him I said hello and to join us next time"
"Hmm I'll be sure to tell him , ken can I talk to you for a minute" she asked completely catching me off guard
