           Normal P.O.V

Long, long, ago deep in the forest was a group of cats who were morning the death of their  beloved leader Rowan, who had lead from captivity and had formed a system were the group together harmoniously as a Clan. Now, Rowan was gone and the Clan was in turmoil with out him.  Rain began to fall as all cats stared in grief at their leader's body. All they could hear now was the

"He was our Leader!" One voice said mournfully.

"How will we ever survive?" A she-cat called out.

"We can go on like this!" Another said.

"It's all we've ever known, we need a new leader!" A gray tom called.

"I agree but who?" The orange tom meowed.

An white tom padded over to the group of morning cats and opened their jaws to speak but someone interrupted him. I could be leader! I would know what to do!" An brown she-cat meowed confidently. She stepped forward, making sure she could be heard.

"Your not strong enough, Breeze. This Clan doesn't need a weak she-cat leading us!" growled the orange tom cat. "We need someone who can protect us, we need a leader who can keep our best interest in mind."

The she-cat opened her jaws to rebuke the insult but she was cut off.

"I'll do it! You said you needed a strong and powerful leader. Well, I'm exactly what you need and if anyone dares to change me. The white tom whirled around, glaring. "I'll fight them to the death!"

"I could easily beat you! You don't stand a chance against me! No one said you could be leader anyways." The orange tom cat sneered, unleashing his claws. "Being challenged already? Very well, challenge accepted." The white tom hissed.  "But I thought you wanted a strong leader, Sun.  So I made the decision to make myself leader, cause I'm worthy unlike you.  I also didn't think you thought yourself as strong and powerful." He sneered mockingly, lashing his tail.

With a snarl of fury, Sun lunged at the white cat but he just simply moved aside. Sun crashed to the ground but got to his paws quickly. The white cat swiped a paw only ripping a piece of fur. Sun whirled around and raked his claws across the white cat's pelt. Stumbling backwards, the white cat shook his head angrily and gave a snarl at ginger tom. Sun lunged again but when he landed, the white cat saw his chance and ripped Sun's throat open. Sun stumbled and gurgled up blood and he shuddered after another gasp, he collapsed on to the ground, dead.

Gasps filled the air, many cats stared at their new leader with horror and uncertainly, now suddenly unsure what to do. They were now unsure what to do as an uneasy silence filled the air as blood ran down his chin, splashing onto the cold, wet, ground.

"Now, who else dares to challenge me?" He purred menacingly, his eyes gleaming dangerously. No cat spoke. They were all too shocked and horrified at how brutal Sun's death was.  "May all cats die at the claws of Bloodpelt."  He meowed coldly, surveying the cats around him and the body.

"No!" A gray-brown she-cat stood over Sun's body. "He was my brother and you killed him! You won't get away with this! He'll not die in vain" She hissed coldly.  "Why not? He wanted to challenge me, he deserved what he got." He meowed calmly, flicking his tail.

The gray-brown she-cat growled, "I challenge you! In honor of my brother!"  Bloodpelt flexed his claws. "Challenge accepted." He yowled in delight and hopped a few steps backward. Waiting for her to attack.

After that challenge everything was different.

                                                                            ....

Suddenly, for half a moon, everyday at least one cat would challenge him and he somehow would win each round. Until one cat rose up to him

Blood dripped from his fur, only half of them caused by wounds and the rest by killing. Claws caked with gore and tufts of fur, and making him more menacing when it had started to rain that afternoon. "Brother," a voice said behind him. The blood-white tom whirled around to see a  a muscular brown tom with dark patches and dark red paws.

"Brother,  The dark-furred tom said again, his voice barely audible over the rain. "This has gone too far! It isn't proper life style that cats here and I want. We must live in peace and harmony  to rebuild our strength." The dark tabby rumbled. "You must see your harming everyone it's helping by killing cats one by one!"

"They want to challenge me, Farrow! It's not my fault that everyone wants to be leader of this group of rouges." He hissed back, sliding out his caked claws. "Maybe you need to tell the cats here stop fighting me and give me a chance!" He watched in dismay as Farrow shook his broad head. "Don't you think I've already tired that? Everybody fights because of you! Everybody is scared of you! You made a rule saying if no cat challenges you everyday you kill the youngest kit to the oldest elder!"Farrow's lip curled. "You announce that everyday so don't you go telling me you don't!"

Bloodpelt did nothing, but only said " I admit that's true although most cats choose for themselves." He glared at his brother. "And most of them want to challenge me anyways. So it's not really my fault."

He sat down smugly and began washing his wounds, not looking at the angry tom.

Farrow forced himself to smooth out his fur and to speak calmly. "There has been to many unacceptable deaths. Rowan would not have wanted this to be the future of the cats he rescued."

Bloodpelt looked up from his wounds.  "I don't care what Rowan wants he's dead!" He paused, lifting up a paw and let his claws slide out. "What I do care about is that you've have questioned me to many times and I wonder if I'm hearing a challenge from you." He growled at Farrow. "This isn't the fist time you've questioned me." He put his paw down but his claws still out.

Farrow gave an alarmed glance at the blood-white furred tom and shifted his paws uneasily. "I wish you no harm but a true leader has good leadership skills, he cares for his clanmates and put his their need before his own, he devotes himself to his clanmates." He meowed firmly. "Not kill them with out a second of a thought."

"I am doing what is best for everyone. You're intentions are weak . You never could be a good leader as me." The blood furred time sneered, shaking the water droplets of his pelt, mixing with blood as he did so.

Thunder roared and crackled as more rain began to pour heavily down. As neither brother spoke. The rain nearly washing the blood out from Bloodpelt's fur, only leaving pale red stains.

"Don't question my authority again if you wish to stay." He spat suddenly, his stained fur spiking up angrily. The confusion on the dark-brown tom's broad face at Bloodpelt's words. "You will have to leave if you challenge me again." He began to turn away to take shelter from the rain when he stopped. "Consider this mercy, brother. For I shall not show it again towards you."

He quickly began heading towards the trees when he was stopped by snarl. "I would make a better leader than you! He whipped his head around to see his brother standing a few fox-lengths away. He could see the determination in his eyes,  "I'm sure if it!" Before he could open his jaws to reply. He heard his brother snarl. "I challenge you!"
