I really want attention for my art bc I have never been accepted as an art person until late so I am barely off my reliance on Insta statistics. I have never felt like I'm good enough to make a career out of art and sometimes I feel like I'm tricking everyone. I'm prone to being jealous of "artsy" kids but recently thats been lessoning luckily since no one cares abt fr**** .
But I have to wonder did I start drawing atatomy (nudes) for attention or skill. Probably attention but I am glad I did. I got no attention beyond teen boys saying wow tiddy. but now I'm good at anatomy.
Shading is a whole other story there is no way for a 6th grader to get easy attention from bad shading like they would for bad tiddy. So I didn't do it or practice it like I did anatomy. I started in like 8th grade and then I had good structure and anatomy but atrocious shading.
Now I do mostly hatching which fits my messy and emotional style best. I'm ok at shading traditional but digitally I can do it best.
but I think hatching only works bc the amount of lines tricks the human brain into seeing what they want to see in it which is cool but does it have artistic value. idk
As for a career in art I also dk.
here's my dream : Own my own art gallery that teaches art to people. I also want to teach so I have a stable income
but I want a degree from ccs but theirs no reason to go there if I'm not in any good depart ments
but also I would love to have a degree in advertising or sum
for sure I want to be able to teach
but would i be happy just being a teacher
I could be a mueseum currator and art tutor on the side but I have no proof that art tutors exist beyond television
