"Don't make me regret this..."

"Bitch what does it say!?"

Savannah leaned against the frame of the bathroom door as Kamyah sat on the edge of the tub, covering her eyes as she waited her for fresh first morning urine to dry on the First Response early pregnancy test.

"Go be a big girl and look" Savannah laughed as Kamyah cut her eyes at her

"It's not funny! My period is late and I'm freaking the hell out!" Kamyah shook her head

"Probably because you're so damn stressed out right now. Like your period isn't always playing hide and seek with you" Savannah said pushing herself off the wall to check the test

Two months ago, or exactly 58 days, Savannah's world changed in many ways. Getting the verdict that Trey would be sentenced to 60 days of mandatory anger management rehabilitation only meant her role as a mother and woman was about to drastically change.

"Ugh, whatever. Just check it please" Kamyah said continuing to cover her eyes

"Hmph, when it comes to baby KG, Kamyah, you are not pregnant!" Savannah joked imitating Maury

"Whew! Thank the Lord! I don't have time for a baby right now, especially with me allegedly moving in with him in the next couple months" Kamyah said standing up

"You might as well Kam. You spend every other day with each other. What's it been, a year almost?" Savannah asked

"In a couple months now that you mention it. I think I'm just scared. I've never lived with a significant other before. I mean, what if I start hating his ass? Granted he's a neat freak, I know how loud he snores, and we've already been gross around one another so I guess there's not much to be worried about. He bought me pads bitch. I thought I'd never see the day I let a man get my monthlies. Oh, and got the right ones at that! This is why I'm always ready to have this man's babies" Kamyah said

"Oh make up your mind! Next time you're taking this test at your house ma'am" Savannah said tossing the box in the trash

"Hmph, don't be like that. Besides, there's too many babies around here as it is. Zo is turning 2 in a couple weeks, Bree will be 1 in a couple months, Domi is bringing mini Kareem into the world in a few months. Yall got em back to back, no Drake" Kamyah laughed

Savannah had planned to hold in the in the news for two months in order to surprise Trey that their rekindling in Barbados spawned a completely unexpected pregnancy. The news came just two days after he entered the rehab program. Not wanting him to focus on her and the baby, she decided to keep it under wraps until he was home. However, it all became short lived at her eight week check-up, only to find out that their baby was no more. Going through the motions of a fresh miscarriage while others around her celebrated their upcoming bundles of joy, and even feeling some relief that her own best friend wasn't next on the roster.

"Girl, I've been so busy removing all the alcohol from the house, working on this store launch, getting these orders out, and hopefully finding an assistant that has experience, isn't trying to meet Trey, or using me as a come-up. Not to mention I put the girls in tumbling so I'm exhausted" Savannah said

"Vanz, relax boo! First off, yes for a sober home. Lord knows alcohol ain't his friend. Two, if you need my help, just let me know. The label is slow right now so I'm barely working, but they still gotta pay me. Three, you need a nanny, period" Kamyah said

"Trey doesn't want me to get one. He doesn't trust anyone with the girls" Savannah said

"Well he gotta let that shit go. You need help and you've been full-time mommy for two months straight. You moved back into this house, literally turned down appearances and press events because you didn't have a sitter. It can't always be me, Jojo, and Kareem watching the girls. Yall need help" Kamyah insisted

"I know, but right now I don't need him stressed. We can talk about it again later" Savannah said

__

"Mom, you sure you got everything?" Savannah asked as April began pushing her out of the kitchen

"Savannah, I love you, but I will fight you if you don't get out of here and let me work. I let you make your dishes, now it's my turn" April laughed as Savannah pouted

Having his Virginia family and friends come surprise him at the house, Savannah knew it'd be the perfect start to his road of recovery. Although they had talked since he'd been gone, she didn't want to become his crutch, so she allowed most of the allotted calls and video messages be for the girls.

"Oh fine. He better eat that whole pan of potato salad too" Savannah said under her breath as she walked into the living room where Zoe was doing her best attempt at a cartwheel while Aubree attempted to copy her. Watching them from a distance, she found herself touching at her stomach, holding in her tears of frustration and anger.

"I swear they're gonna be so close growing up" April said walking up beside Savannah

"I know" Savannah said quickly snatching her hand away

"How has the therapy been going?" April asked

"It's...going. Now that I have someone who's actually understanding me, it's easier to open up" Savannah admitted

"I see. Have you talked about the miscarriage yet?" April asked

"Yes. I finally did yesterday" Savannah nodded her head

Lately, Savannah noticed a slight change in how her and her mother had become since she had gotten closer to April. Being sensitive to her feelings, she decided to open up to her about the miscarriage first. However, it only ended with her explaining the top reasons why it was, "meant to be" instead of consoling her. She understood her concerns, however given the weird energy looming over their current family dynamics, she was hoping for someone to give her a little more empathy, and a little less judgement. Then, there was April, who made sure Savannah was okay mentally and physically through her trauma.

"Good. I wouldn't stress about telling Trey just yet, but you should tell him" April suggested

"I'll think about it mom" Savannah sighed

Unsure of what the days ahead of them would bring, she already knew to brace herself for whatever to happen and prepare for just about anything. If she learned nothing else about him and their relationship, it was you never know when things are going to take a turn for the worst.
