Jak X! Cutter x Reader Part 3

Start from the beginning

"Does your father have more power than I think he does?" the brunette inquired, raising an eyebrow at you in curiosity.

"The Crime Lords come to him for their cars. My father can turn them away at any instant and they can't exactly do anything because all the other Crime Lords back him up so... make of it what you will," you smirked and pecked the brunette on the lips.

Cutter blinked at you in shock before furrowing his eyebrows.

"Remind me not to make your father angry," you laughed at his words before standing to your feet.

"Shall we get dinner? It's late and I'm feeling like pizza," you winked at Cutter, who smirked.

"Pizza is fine with me," the man took your hand and started to lead you out of your home.

The following weeks passed by slowly. Mizos' funeral was held in one of the more popular churches of the city. Your father and you attended along with everyone Mizo had gathered for his mafia. You were shocked to see the other Crime Lords of your city and different cities also attending the funeral.

Carter was the one who delivered the speech and explained that he would be taking over Mizos' Mafia. Multiple whispers erupted among the members of the mafia, some walked out of the funeral there and then, denouncing their following to Carters. Crime Lords laughed, knowing it wouldn't last long.

But the funeral continued with little to no problems after Carter had spoken. The Crime Lords left the funeral without any commotion. Some spoke to your father requesting meetings and, while still wanting to be respectful to Mizo, he promised that he would send them each an email, stating his availability.

You stayed with Cutter for most of the funeral. A lot of the mafia were surprised to see you with the brunette, they were even more surprised to see you holding hands at the funeral. You and Cutter had managed to keep your relationship hidden from everyone in the mafia, people in your company knew but they had kept quiet out of respect for you both.

The meeting your father had with Carter a week or so after the funeral was... less than pleasant. The man didn't hold any respect to your father and refused to answer any questions you had asked. Your father ended up asking the man to leave and when he did, it was decided by the both of you that you would not be doing business with Carter.

Once news of this spread a new Crime Lord, by the name of Markus moved in on the territory. Your father knew him well and because of that new plans and deals were made with the man. Those who also worked for Mizo were given jobs with Markus, which almost everyone happily took. Those who didn't went to work for different Crime Lords.

Things soon returned to normal after Mizos' death. The only evident changes consisted of the new Crime Lord that had moved in, the new deals the company had made and the fact Cutter had now taken up the job with your father.

You hummed a small tune as you moved around the kitchen, preparing dinner for yourself and Cutter. The brunette haired man, with the blessing of your father, had moved into your home soon after Mizos' passing.

From where you were standing you heard the door to your home open and close quietly before footsteps started toward the kitchen. You looked over your shoulder, smiling when you saw Cutter place his bag down on the counter.

He looked at your and grinned. You returned your attention to the food you were cooking, a curry, Cutters' favourite. Cutter walked over to you and wrapped his arms around your waist, placing a kiss on your cheek, your smile grew a little wider at the action.

"How was your day?" you questioned the brunette.

"Still getting used to the equipment, but Jake is very patient and helpful as are the rest," Cutter grinned. "I like working with them!" he deemed with a small nod of his head. You giggled at the man.

"Good, I'm glad everyone is being nice to you. But there are no exceptions just because you're dating me," you warned, turning slightly and poking Cutter in the chest.

"I know. I know. Just because my girlfriend is the daughter of the man who owns the company I don't get special treatment. I'm aware," Cutter winked at you and placed a quick peck on your lips before turning to the fridge to get a drink. "What's for dinner anyway?" the brunette questioned. You lifted the lid off the curry that was cooking, letting the smell seep into the air.

"Father has a meeting with Markus so he's gonna be late. I figured we could have a curry tonight, your favourite," you explained with a small smirk on your face, knowing Cutter would love the food.

"What did I ever do to deserve such a wonderful girlfriend like you?" the brunette wondered with a goofy grin on his face. "I love curry," he added as an afterthought and you couldn't help but roll your eyes with a smirk.

"I love you more though and you know I do," Cutter stated, sticking his tongue out. You waved a hand in dismissal but it didn't stop Cutter from placing a surprise kiss on your lips. You hummed in surprise and quickly pushed the man away from you.

"Cutter, I have to make dinner," you complained, making the brunette pout at your reluctance to kiss him. You giggled at his expression and shook your head at the man. "But I love you too," you added. Cutter grinned at your words before lifting himself up to sit on the counter.

"You know... one day," Cutter spoke, waiting for you to look at him. You turned to him, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "I'm gonna marry you," your flared red at the words that left Cutters' mouth. You quickly turned your attention back to the food and sighed.

"Well... I can't wait till that day," you replied. Cutter blinked but smiled happily at your words. You returned his smile and quickly finished up cooking dinner.

The evening with Cutter flew by, your father came home, ate and went directly to his study after greeting the both of you. He felt a relaxed yet excited and somewhat happy atmosphere in the air. While he didn't question it, it did make him feel more relaxed after the tiresome day he had.

You looked to Cutter, who was sat next to you on the sofa and smiled slightly. His arm was wrapped around your shoulders and you were cuddled into his side. You felt... complete with the brunette haired man and you were excited to see where life led you with him.

But, one thing you were certain of – you were both certain of – neither of you could wait until the day that you and Cutter were actually married.
