When she was 15 she fell in love with a boy.
One who gave her hugs that swept her off her feet.
One who was willing to play her silly games.
One who tickled her until she was red in the face.
One who caught her when she fell.
One who helped her spirits soar.
One who told her he was transferring homerooms at the end of the year, and then schools.
One who became more and more like the popular kids the longer he hung around them.
One who broke her heart, losing a crush as well as a best friend.
She thought, "maybe I'm not supposed to love," and left it there.
Not knowing how lonely she was going to be.

When she was 17, she fell in love with a girl.
One who's smile could light up a room and who's laughter was bright.
One who's hugs were warm and kisses made every day better.
One who listened and helped solve your problems and confided in you in return.
One who you could write stories with and they would seem like a part of reality.
One who held her close because they were young.
One who thought nothing could ruin their love.
One who turned in the blink of an eye.
One who left without saying goodbye.
