Leaves crunched underfoot, a calm wind ran through the trees. It was close to 11:00, which was late for me, seeing as it was college the next day. That's the one thing I didn't want to think about: college. I thought I was going to be free with my decisions, but I was wrong. an eerie silence lingered, save for the silent rustle of leaf litter below me. The luminous moon shone brightly, but it was hindered by a thin layers of silver clouds. Now it's on my mind. I thought that was the whole reason for these walks. To calm the stress and quiet the mind.
The path leading to my home was just ahead, not far from the woods. Then, my shoe banged on something. At first, I thought it was a log. It was sonorous, a stray piece of metal from a bike maybe? I shuffled the leaves away to reveal a golden gauntlet, a silver rim along the wrist; I'm dreaming. What the hell would a piece of old crap like this be lying about for? Had it been dropped? Abandoned? nevertheless, it only add to the whirling feeling of curiosity building inside of me, like an overflowing dam. Carefully, I put in in my bag for further inspection at home.
