Backstory (Kinda) :
The kingdom was on the brink of destruction when King Darius killed the old king and took over as leader. He mistreated some of his people building up his army by force. Although to his family he seemed to let them past his cold exterior and see the truth. His first queen died from sickness not before giving him three children (Two guys and one girl). He had gone through a few contenders to be queen but was unsuccesful in finding one. Now that he was nearing war with a rebellious group that hates him for the mistreatment of the townsfolk he is searching for a new queen, of any status, to appease them.
The rebels were an upstart group first just protesting peacfully. Several groups had broken off from the group and became violent. They terrorized the kings armies and the wealthy, kinda like robin hood. But the entire group of rebels slowly became more and more violent as the attacks from the King became more frequent. They have retreated into the mountains hiding from the King and all his minions.
Rules:
1. Be polite~ I know most of the people that will be joining but for the newbies, be nice, don't be afraid to join us in the main chain, we're kinda cool people :)
2. Be patient~ It may come as a shock but people have lives, well not including me, they get busy and they might not answer right away so chill give them a chance. If they haven't answered in a few days politely tag them and ask whats up, you get the point.
3. Add drama to the story, otherwise it gets boring
4. Make your responses detailed enough that the person can have a good replie, it's hard to rp with someone that doesn't put effort in.
5. If someone has a significant role and they are no longer active, I will give you a few chances to come back but in the end if someone more active wants it, and you're not even using it. I will revoke it and give it to someone new, sorry.
6. Don't kill without permission
7. Try to limit some of the magic. Yes it's acceptable if it's important to your character, but nothing insane.
7b. If you have magic please no god-modding, your character is not as powerful as others, make sure they aren't invincible..
8. This has come up a few times before so I'mma just say it. It is okay to chainstalk, it keeps you informed. but just because you know something, doesn't mean your character knows it unless your a telepath which you have cleared with me. If it's a private conversation between two people, some random character in the castle shouldn't know who it is, I don't care if it says they have spies there. It's between two people so no, that character shouldn't know what's happening
9. Another thing I've had trouble with in the past, auto-hitting. If you don't know what this is, let me educate you. Say you're having a battle between two people, specifically if it's a face off, this is an acceptable response
billy bob joe raced forward to catch him off guard and swung his fist out to hit him.
if you notice, it never really said that billy bob joe actually hit the opponent, it's open to interpretation and gives the other character a chance to fight back, this is not an acceptable response and people will call someone out for it.
bill bob joe punched him in the head, before stabbing him in the leg, He slammed his head back into a wall knocking him out before throwing him out of the castle.
The other person doesn't even have a chance to respond it kills the fun and vibe of the rp cause people will call you out and arguments will happen. So for the love of god just think about making your actions playable if that makes sense, make your rps so that someone can respond to them.
9. I know this has powers but keep actions realistic, like, your character very well can't take on a whole army and defeat them all. if you're called out on them and your excuse is, they have powers, well screw powers, a lot of people have powers, you ain't special.
10. Give people a chance to rp alone too. What I mean by that is don't have your character involved in every little thing. If two people are having a conversation and you just left the room, don't bring him right in to mess up the rp. Don't make it so the rp circles around you.
(One obvious exception to this is the king just cause, uh duh, he's the King, things are supposed to be about him. Plus he's the main villain to the rebels, so he kinda has to interact with people, if you don't like it, you know where the door is.)
11. Be respectful to people who are trying to make the rp a better space overall. If you are doing something wrong and someone calls you out on it don't get mad at them, especially if they're right and MULTIPLE people agree. There are certain people here that hold more authority than others, mainly because they have been here since some of my first rps, and I have been interacting with them for actual years, if you have a problem and they call you out they're probably right. These include:
TyLyon (When he actually joins like he says he will)
So yeah if these people call you out on something, listen to them, they are nice people who know how I run things, and know my rules. So if I ever disappear for a while, ya'll in charge, good luck, don't burn the place down lol.
But this isn't saying I can't make new friends and trust new people, these are basically my best friends on the site, although I'm already meeting new people and I like what I'm seeing :)
I'm pretty chill about rules and stuff. As long as you are nice to me and others you should be fine. Oh and don't be afraid to join someone who has no one to rp with, or to join the main chain. I can't rp with everyone all the time.
