Long Time No See

Y/n was walking home one day, when Jabez spotted her and gave her a lift.

Y/N's POV:

"Sorry babe I cant take you home today" my best friend y/best friends/n says. I shook my head. "Girl it's fine. I'll just walk home." I say smiling. "You'll be okay?" She asked. I nod my head "now go you have fun." I say shooing her away as she was going on a date with Bradley.

As she left I put my headphones in and started my walk home. It was about a thirty minute walk no biggie. I see everyone leaving the parking lot trying to get home. It was a Friday and I still don't have my car. Considering I still haven't got my license.

I didn't mind though I liked being by myself sometimes. It was kind of soothing. But mid way through walking I get tired like ugh. Soon a car stops right next to me. I look over and it's Jabez. He motioned for me to take my earbuds out.

"Need a ride?" He asked. I shook my head. "No it's okay thanks." I say being nice. He shook his head. "Come On y/n you know me I'm not some stranger. Plus we live near each other." He says smiling brightly. Oh that smile. I roll my eyes playfully as I walk over to get in the car. "Thanks Jabez." I say putting my headphones in my pocket. "No biggie." He says starting to drive.

"You know you can ask for ride if you ever need one." He says. "Didn't want to bug you about it." I said honestly. I mean Jabez and I are neighbors, we've grown up with each other, but we haven't talked like that in years. Ever since high school started. We are more of just Hi and Bye friends. Or did you get what the homework was? Type of friends.

"Beautiful girl like you y/n? Would never bug me." He said winking at me. I couldn't help but blush. Next thing you know we're talking about all our memories we had as a kid. I started laughing at the time Jabez punched a kid but the kid fought back.

"Yeah I remember you had a black eye." I giggled. "Hey In my defense that boy was ten times bigger than me." He said laughing. "And I only got it because he was picking on you." He says. I nod my head and smiled. "My hero." I say sarcastically. He laughed.

"I'm always grateful for you Jabez." I said smiling. I see his cheeks turn red. "Same here y/n. I miss you honestly. We haven't talked like this in forever." He says I nod my head. We pull up to my house and I stop before getting out. "Do you want to come in? I'm sure my parents would love to see you." I say.

He smiled and nodded his head. He brought his bag and we went inside. "Mama I'm home." I say aloud. Next thing you know my twelve year old brother Michael comes in. "Who are you?" He says crossing his arm facing Jabez. I roll my eyes. "You don't remember him do you?" I asked him. "He was only like three or something Y/n." Jabez says laughing.

"Okay you have a point. Michael this is Jabez." I say "your boyfriend?" He asks. "No dummy he has a girlfriend." I say "actually we broke up." Jabez cuts in. "Oh my bad." I said embarrassed. He shakes his head saying it's okay. "Y/n Mija come wash th-. Jabez is that you?" She asked smiling coming closer.

"Hi Mrs.Y/L/N" he says giving her a hug. She punched his cheeks. "Long time no see Mijo." She says as I was so embarrassed. "Ma." I say shaking my head. I hear him chuckle "it's okay." He says. "Y/n go start on the dishes, we're going to your aunt Renei's house. Pero you can stay since you have company." My mom says. we say good bye to my mom and my dad and my little brother. We go and start washing the dishes. As I reach for the next plate I felt water splash on my face. "Jabez you didn't." I said shocked that he just threw water on me.

"Oops." He says innocently. I grabbed a cup and threw it on him. "Oops." I say mockingly. "We really gonna play this game?" He asked laughing. "I don't know what you're talking about." I say shrugging my shoulders as I giggled. I finished up the last dish as I felt Jabez tickling my sides. "Jabez don't." I start laughing.

I ran instantly but didn't get far I was pulled back into his embrace. I felt him tickling my sides, my weak spot, "Jabez I hate you with a passion." I said laughing as I fell onto the couch. He was on top of me and still tickling me. "Jabez Stop please." I say still laughing too much. He shook his head "what's the magic word?" He asked.

"I don't know." I say in fits of laughter. "Nope." He says. "Jabez sucks." I say "damn that's cold." He says stopping holding onto his heart as if I shot him. I laughed as I got out of his embrace and tried running away. As I ran I slipped on the rug and fell.

I hear fits of laughter. It was from Jabez. "Ow." I said aloud. "Are you okay?" He asked walking towards me. I was on the ground face looking up at the ceiling. "Yeah I'm just greaaat." I say sarcastically. "You gonna get up?" He asks chuckling. I lift my hands up motioning him to pick me up. He did exactly so. "You're such a baby." He says laughing as He bridal styled carried me to the couch.

"Thanks." I say as if it was a compliment. He rolls his eyes and chuckled. "Wanna watch a movie?" I asked "sure why not. What does the queen want to watch?" He asked. I blushed "I don't know." I say shyly. He chuckles as he puts on White Chicks. He sits down right next to me. For some reason I put my head on his shoulder. But he soon moved it  and put his arm around me as I leaned more into his warm body.

"Wanna see a trick really quick?" He asked. "Sure why not." I say as I sat up. "Here give me your hand." He says I give him my hand he starts making circles on my palms. "That tickles." I say giggling. Next thing you know he's holding my hand.

I couldn't help but blush. "You like my trick?" He asked smiling at me. I chuckled "I love it." I say cuddling back into him. "I love this too." He says placing his arm around me. I smiled to myself. I missed hanging with him. "Is it weird to say that I've always dreamt of this?" I say awkwardly. "If were being  honest y/n I've wanted this too." He says. I jolt up and look him in the eyes.

He was being sincere. I smiled as I literally said out loud "fuck it." And kissed him. As he was shocked at first but kissed me back. I break it off as he has the biggest smile on his face. "Aye shawty wanna go on a date some time?" He asked smirking. I smiled brightly "I'd love that." I say kissing his cheek. He blushed as we went back to the movie and cuddled.
