The journey

I sat staring at my feet, not saying a word after that. I mean, what am i supposed to say? I'm in a van with the band i fangirl over and my brother, if Luke wasn't hear i would be jumping about and smiling like a loon but he doesn't know that side of me and i plan to keep it that way! 

"Is Zara being shy" Luke cooed as if to a little baby, i just gave him a dirty look and punched his arm.

"Yeah, we've been in the car for 10  minutes and you'v only said one word" Nathan said nudging me slightly. I turned my head to him thought about what to say for a minute before answering

"Hello" I put a finger up every word i said "nice to meet you, there that's nine" i raised my hands closer to him so he could see nine fingers raised. He raised an eye brow, and i hers Jay Huff slightly behind us, then he jabbed my side making me jump "heyy!" i said swatting his hand away.

"there thats ten" he smiled and i shook my head and pulled out my phone. it's still too early to text anyone or for anyone to text me but i had a text from my mum

Morning, have a good time at Thorpe park with the boys! Don't hurt yourself and please don't be all shy around them :D love you xx

Typical mum, ever since i split my knee jumping of a wall she is worried I'm going to hurt myself everywhere i go, but i know its just because she loves me. Luke's like that with me sometimes but he's always there if or when i do get hurt and I'm not aloud to go out without him knowing or he worries. But unlike mum he doesn't mind if i swear or do stupid things as long as he is there to make sure if i do get hurt someone will look after me. For a second i forgot where i was... 

"Was that mum?" i look over to Luke and nod still struggling to speak without making a smart remark or being sarcastic. "what did she say?" i passed him my phone so he could see for himself. He started to type so i lent closer to him to see what he was saying

Morning, I'm sure i will! don't worry Luke said he'll look after me, ill try to be less shy Luke looked over to me to make sure i saw that bit, i nodded and he continued love you too, see you later xx

He hit send and gave me my phone back, i slipped it back in to my pocket knowing there was noting to do with it without my headphones and so early in the morning, actually why are we leaving so early is the park doesn't open until 10 and it only takes  2 hours to get there from where me and Luke live... I took a deep breath before speaking with my head still looking at the ground.

"Why have we left so early?" I raised my head to see all eyes on me.

"That's fifteen" Nathan smirked

"Seriously dude, your counting every word she says?" Toms accent hit me like a ton of bricks, it sounds stronger than in the flips!

"I agree with Tom there, its a little creepy mate" Max spoke from beside tom.

"Well i thought considering what her mum and Luke said its pretty rare to get a word out of her so we should i dunno see how much she speaks" Nathan surged going a little red. Wait... he read my text? I must never text near him again...

"Still a little wired Nath, she isn't that bad once she gets used to you" I nodded at my brothers true words, once i get used to talking to someone i turn in to someone who wont shut up. Nathan just blushed making me smile "We left early because we have to go back to there house so Jay can get changed" I nodded again

"Yeah he needs to get changed because he stinks" Siva said trying to mimic Jays ascent, Jay tried to raise an eye brow again failing so me Luke and Nathan all looked over at him with one eye brow raised.

"What is this, pick on Jay day?" he huffed, i laughed  under my breath hoping no one could hear me

"Think its funny do we?" Max said with a straight face making me feel nervous, i coughed lightly straightened my face and shook my head not knowing how else to react. Tom's laugh belted through the car, man that boy is loud, i looked over to him and relaxed realising it was a joke. "You didn't rely think i was being serious did you?" i looked down then back up to max and nodded looking down again "So you did think the Jay thing was funny?" I looked up and nodded not looking back down this time but keeping eye contact with Max to see his reaction, he just smiled so i smiled back and shuffled in my seat slightly to get comfortable.

everyone was quiet and there was nothing i could do so i decided to take a nap since they woke me up early, i rested my head on Luke's shoulder and closed my eyes. Luke realised and moved so i could rest my head properly and kissed my head before i fell asleep.
