Missing

I wake up to my alarm clock. I get dress in sweat pants and a tee-shirt I go down stairs and my mom is not there...uh weird. I go upstairs and go in her room. she not there and her bed is still made from yesterday. I can tell because she always arranges the pillows different everyday. "MOM" no response. "MOM WHERE ARE YOU" silence. okay now I am scared. I call her-ring ring ring- her phone is on the kitchen table in the same spot from yesterday morning she must have forgot it. where is my mom. I start to panic... wait I have school.shit.i can't skip school I look at the clock.7:40.shit I missed the bus and school starts now. I have to walk but my house is a mike away. I don't care. I can't stay here I would be too scared I don't know where my mom is. I don't know. I drop to the floor crying. why me why am I always the one who gets hurt. stop crying you wimp I think to myself but I can't I already lost my dad I can't lose my mom too. I just sit there in my house hugging my knees.
-one hour later-
I wake up to the sound of a phone ringing shit I must have fell asleep. I get up and fallow the noise. it leads me to my moms phone. the caller is my school. they must be calling to see why I didn't show up for school today. what do I do-ring ring ring- I answer it "hello" I say in a confident voice.
E-Emily M-Mary
M- "hi this is Mary I work at Emily school is this Laura Emily's mother"
E-"yes it is"
M-"well i was just letting you know that Emily didn't show up for school today is she with you"
E-"yes o am well a where she is she wasn't feeling well today but know she is fine I was just going to drop her off"
M-"oh okay we will see you soon and tell Emily I am happy she is feeling better"
E-"i will thank you"
I hung up the phone and ran into the bathroom I looked it the mirror. I looked awful my make up was streaming down my face from all that crying. I wiped it off and reapplied and ran a brush through my hair. better. I grabbed my bag and walked out I locked the door and ran.
~10-15 mins later~
I was out of breath when I got to the school I sat on a bench until I was okay and then walked inside. I walked I to the office and checked in Mary smiled at me and tolled me that I was in lunch I thanked her and went to my locker. I shoved my bag in and grabbed my money. I walk to the lunch room and got in line. I really needed something to drink. I got a Gatorade and went to find my friends. " OMG EMILY WHERE WHERE YOU" I turn around and it's Sam he hugs and picks me up and spins me around and then places me back on the ground. "I was sick but I am fine now" he looks me straight in the eye " are you okay you look sad" "yea I am fine"
