(Fast-forward a couple years to when Darcy's 18)
Today's the last day of high school. Graduation. I look out, and Zayn, Dad, and Tommy are all there. I wave at Tommy, and he waves back. I feel my phone vibrate in my jeans pocket, and when I look at it, it's a text from Tommy. "I'm so proud of you Darcy. I love you so much, and I can't believe you made it so far(:" The text reads. Wow, I have an amazing boyfriend. "Darcy Styles." The principal calls out. I walk up, and receive my diploma. "Wow, thank you so much. First off, before I get into my speech, I'd like to thank everyone who helped me get this. Um, dad and Zayn, thank you so much for the love and support. Tommy Tomlinson, I love you, and you helped me through so much. Of course, my best friend Alyssa who stuck by my side, no matter how many stupid fights we got into. Anyway, these 4 years haven't been the easiest. The neverending pressure of teachers, homework, after-school activites, etc. have put a lot of pressure on us, but we made it. How many of you had dreams of what you wanted to be when you were little? Raise your hands." I say, and almost everyone raises their hands. "Yeah, me too. I wanted to be a unicorn trainer, believe it or not. Now obviously there's no chance in reality that that's gonna happen, but it doesn't hurt to dream. We all had some crazy dream that was beyond reality, and we were hoping and praying to God that it would happen, right? But some dreams aren't that crazy! I'm sure some of you wanted to be a firefighter, or a vet, or a doctor. Now, with enough school and motivation, those dreams can come true! My cousin's studying to be an oncologist at LU, because of what happened to his mum. He's only got a few years left, and I text him every once in a while, just to remind him how proud I am. And to tell him that he made me realize that anyone can do something if they want it enough. I really wanna be something that my family can be proud of. I wanna do something that my kids will wanna do one day. We can all do something good, if we just reach for it and try." I step off the stage, and I get a round of applause. I sit by Tommy, and he holds my hand. "That speech was amazing, babe." He whispers. "Thanks." I say.

After all the speeches are over, I head home with Tommy, dad, and Zayn. "That speech... was amazing, Darc." Dad says, wiping his eyes with the back of his sleeve. "Are you crying, dad?" I ask him. "No, I'm just... sweating out of my eyes." He smiles. "Yeah right." I say. "It really was a good speech." Tommy puts his hand on my shoulder.
