The secrets inside

Chapter 1

I walked into school for my first day of senior year at another new high school. I have to find the office to get my schedule and figure out who's supposed to give me my tour since my parents forced me to walk of course. It's not like i want them here but it would be helpful.
"Excuse me, do you know where the office is?" I ask someone that was walking through the halls.
"Yeah ," she answers me. "Follow me, i'm heading that way. Im Spencer by the way."
"Thanks, its my first year here and normally I can find the office by myself, but i guess not this time. Im Nathaniel, or Nate for short.'
"Do you move around a lot?"
"Kinda. This is my sixth high school, i went to four middle schools, and i went to about seven elementary schools." My family has a very bad past and it's kinda hard to trust people and making friends when you don't know if it's permanent.
"It definitely sounds like you move around a lot. But we're here it was really nice talking to you Nathaniel, or Nate for short." She says with her arm out and a grin on her face.
"Thanks Spencer, and very funny. Hope to talk to you and see you again." And with that I walk into the office to get my schedule. When the office lady gave it to me i walk off looking it over. Until i ran into something hard but just a bit shorter than me.
"Hey, man watch it," I look up to see it's a guy an inch shorter than me.
"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention," I explain.
"It's fine. Im Charles but everyone calls me Chuck." The guy, Chuck, says.
"Im Nathaniel, but everyone calls me Nate."
"Have a nice day, Nate."
"You too." I walked off to find my first class.
When i got to my first class I took a seat in the back not wanting to have much attention on me. After attendance our teacher explained what we we're going to be learning about in science this year. I've always been a nerd deep down but no one knows. This class has always been one of my favorites.
After I made it to all of my morning classes without getting lost it was lunch time. Yeah, another year of not knowing who to sit with. I've been pretty quiet in all of my classes so I really haven't made any friends, but it's not like I was trying to. I was pulled out of my thoughts when someone started calling my name.
"Nate, come sit with us!" Spencer, I noticed, called. "Come on." I just walked right over there sitting down noticing Chuck, I think, was also sitting there.
"Hi?" I said unsure of why she asked me to sit there.
"Everybody this is Nate," she starts introducing. "Nate this is Chuck, Cole, Isabell, Jessie, Maddie, and Jake."
"Hi everyone." Maddie was about to say something but my father decided to call me. "I'm sorry I have to get this."

Hi everyone the guy at the top is who I picture Nathaniel as or the general features he has. I hope you like it so far.
