i born in el Salvador, where we have the traditions of celebrate valentine day. in my early days of school we use to play a game where the student have to give gifts to each other. it was like a lottery all the student's names were written in pieces of paper and then every body has to take one piece of paper, the name of the student that is in the paper is the person to whom you have to bring a gift the next day. during the time i was in the school we play it several times.
but one time in particular was embarrassing .i come from a really poor dysfunctional family and by that time valentine days ,in my class room decided to play that game . it makes me feel anxious because i knew i didn't have the money to give something .so i resolved and bring a bag of chip the next day like my gift . it was awful, the girl to i have to give the present get mad.she was upset for the gift ,and i felt really bad about it, later i hear her completing about my gift and saying that she gave something better.
in that moment all the experience seem painful to me ,because it was really hard for me to get that gift ,and i thought that she was not comprehensive and did not understand may situation. i guess we were just kids.
now i remember this anecdote whit nostalgic.
