Joe 😝
6 months ago I left Heathrow for New Guinea and since then I've been hopping from place to place every month or so. 2 in New Guinea, 2 hopping around small islands and 2 in New Zealand. Now on the final leg of my epic journey I'm going to spend 3 months with my Auntie Sarah in Australia. People wonder how I don't get bored out here for 6 months but how can you. I have no need to go home. Obviously my parents are there and Zoe and Alfie and Oli and Caspar but really I have nothing holding me back. The pull I used to get when I was in New Guinea begging me to return home, the home sickness has gone and now the pull is to some where new.
Right now I'm on an aeroplane. Crossing the ocean to Australia. I can't wait. The air con cools my face and I flick through the various magazines. I'm on the aisle and to the side of me is a man and a woman and their baby girl. The girl has been sleeping quietly on her dads lap until this moment when she wakes and cry's. I get up and head to the toilet. The plane is very small and doesn't take me an minute to reach the toilet. I plug my earphones in and open Spotify. I stand in the cramped loo with my back against the wall for a couple songs when there's a knock on the door. I take an ear plug out. An air hostesses calls "the plane will be landing shortly please could you finish up and make your way to your seat" with that I turn off Spotify, put my phone away and walked back to my seat. I plugged in my seat belt and put my camera, laptop and drink in my bag before breathing deep. I hate landings. I hate aeroplanes.
Once we're down I get up straight away and grab my bag from the over head locker and turn to exit the plane. Everyone's in the way. Great. I help the couple and their daughter with their bags and head off the plane. I turn on my phone, turn of aeroplane mode and text the family group chat saying 'I've landed now where the hell and I going!xxx'
Zoe immediately replies 'great have fun!xx'
I put my phone away and head to the arrives bit to get my bag. I stand waiting for my bag to come round and hear the planes flying off in the distance. I see the young couple again and smile. I grab my bag and carry it slowly towards the exit. Then standing there in the large room is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.
I can't help but look. She's incredible. She's wearing a cute summery dress with little brown sandals. Her red hair hangs loosely in a ponytail and her hazel eyes are look straight at me. Shot. I walk quickly past with my head down. I stop at the door way where the intense heat hits me. I turn around and saw her and a boy of a similar age who I presume to be her boy friend.Oh. I pull my phone out again and see a text from my auntie Sarah. 'Waiting for you joe joe!Xx' I chuckle.
Authors note: sorry no actual Joanne stuff. It will take a while to get into it.
Thanks for ready!
