Life is like a slow moving car crash where you die at the end. In this case that quote has lived up to its expectations.

Century Phillips

I knew before I left that the roads would be wet. After all it did snow the night before. I love snow when it hasn't melted into a gross, sopping,  blob of white mush. Even with the warning I decide that it is a good idea to drive. I grab the keys to my white Mercedes and jump into the front seat. The road is slippery and I am feeling a bit less in control than usual. My mind  tells me to drive slow , but come on I am a seventeen year old who likes a little rush. I speed up my car to 40...50...60...on the freeway. Then I feel that familiar feeling of rush as I roll down the window. I inhale slowly and laugh in delight. I grip the steering wheel, finally getting used to the slippery road and I like the way it feels underneath me. I lean forward in my seat and see a stoplight ahead. I slow my car down a little but not enough so that I'm going slow. As I reach the stop light I break but the funny things is I'm not slowing down. I press down on the break harder but still there's no sign of stopping. The panic starts setting in but before I can fully register anything my body slams into the steering wheel knocking the wind out of me. It felt like the time I was on the monkey bars in second grade and fell, my back hitting the concrete. My head slammed forward and for a tenth of a second I cursed myself for not wearing a seatbelt. The airbag springs to action but isn't fast enough, I feel my nose break and move in ways I never thought were possible. I can feel the car skid and my heart sinks. Then everything stops.

Death

See the thing about time is it will go on, it doesn't wait for anyone. Sometimes a second can feel like an hour. Time can be your friend or your foe. Of course it depends on your view or experiences with it. In Century's case it was her foe. When the cops came all they found was a lot of blood, a squashed Mercedes, and what seemed to be a mangled corpse. A car crash can not fully be only one persons fault. As much as it may seem to be that way nobody but the victim knows what has happened. Sadly in Century's case she was the wrong person who had gotten into the wrong car at the wrong time. What nobody knew not even Century herself was that somebody had rigged the brake system, they had made it so that after a few pushes of the brake it would malfunction and cause Century her life.
